Breakfast at Flo's?

I am in the process of making some changes for my now 3 day trip at the end of this month. Now I will be going to California Adventure on Wednesday, which has an Early Morning Magic.

I had originally planned on eating breakfast at Downtown Disney (my lodging does not offer breakfast). But, since the park will open at 8:00 that day, should I consider getting a later breakfast at Flo's? A picture of the chicken tamale breakfast made me think this, but seeing the Brioche French Toast on the menu is making me consider it as well. I think I could get plenty of popular rides in between 8:00 and 10:45, like RSR, TOT, TSMM, and get a FP for something as well. Then get breakfast just before it ends at 11:00?

What do you all think? Is the food as good as it looks and sounds? Thanks!!

I wouldn't want to wait until after 10am for breakfast. I'd rather have something in the room that I could eat either before heading out or take a few bites while waiting at the turnstiles or in line. There's nothing in the parks at DLR for breakfast that I think if so amazing that it's worth being hungry in the morning to delay breakfast.

I've always found the breakfast options at DCA to be a bit lacking so we've always ended up at either Pacific Wharf or Flo's. Had both the chicken tamale plate and the French toast and both were pretty decent!

What we usually do is have a small snack (granola bar, etc.) prior to EMH/park opening and then grab a "real" breakfast about two hours after the park opens and we've had a chance to take advantage of low early morning crowds.

That's more what I was planning on doing, having a snack that I bring so I'm not starving until 10:45. I get hangry so there's no way I could go from 7-11 without eating :)

I just know that eating in the park will take time, so I wanted to see if other have eaten there, if it's worth it. It sure looks yummy! And it seems like there's some good views?

I quite like the French Toast myself and I love the view of RRS from there - plus you'll have to sit down at some point anyway so why not with delicious French Toast?

Just to be sure though: you're not trying to use your one MM on your ticket at DCA, right? You are aware that morning hour is only available to hotel guests, correct? (I'm sure it's just how my addled brain read your post but I don't want you to be disappointed)

That's what we do too. I bring trail mix to snack on while we head to line up for rope drop. Then around 10 we go get breakfast and enjoy the view at Flo's. It's not busy at that time and it's relaxing after a few hours in the park. (we usually go in summer.) My daughter and I usually split the nice fruit plate and an order of the eggs, potatoes, and biscuit. It's not 'knock your socks off' type of food, but it's a decent price and satisfying.

We love Flo's for breakfast. Last time my dh has the tamale (which he said was just ok) and I had the french toast which was fantasic!

I like Flo's, and it usually is not very busy later in the morning. Last time we ate there it was about 10:00, and we had our choice of seats. I love the view as well.

Breakfast @ Flo's was one of our "traditions" - especially the French Toast. We would ride RSR and then get breakfast when the park opened up for "normal" hours.

this is one place I love to eat when going to Disney parks. the French toast is great! I have not tried the tamale but it has looked tempting. also it has great scenery around while you are eating. we usually get a fast pass for RSR, and then once we get off of that ride shoot over for some breakfast. I have tasted the American breakfast off of my fiancé plate and it was very good as well.

I double checked, and thanks for asking! I'm not staying on site, but I do have a 3 day park hopper. So I get one early morning to Disneyland, not DCA. I totally thought I could get into DCA early one morning!

BUT now I'm debating if I want to get breakfast at Rancho del Zocalo on Thursday since I really do get an extra hour that morning. I could make my way through Fantasyland and get HSM and ST before heading over to breakfast around 11:45. Those Chilaquiles sound delicious!

I believe they stop breakfast at 11am, so make it 1045a and you should be good.

Had the tamale breakfast myself, and my kid had the "waffles" with the character patterns. I guess the "waffles" aren't really in any kind of traditional shape. They have no ridges except for the outside rim.
