We are staying at Boardwalk the night before our cruise. I’ve seen most people get their bags picked up between 7-730, and the bus picks them up around 9-930. We have a breakfast reservation at Tratorria at 7:40. Will we be ok time wise for the bud? Does breakfast there go fairly quickly?

I would not chance it. I think the window for resort pick-up can be as early as 8:30, expected to be at the location 15 minutes early. How early the pick-up will be at your resort on your date will depend on how many other guests will also be taking the DCL Transfers from there that day.

I second that opinion. Not worth the added stress and anxiety of rushing through a nicer breakfast hoping you don’t miss your bus to the next vacation - better to just get up have a few minutes to lounge and enjoy some breakfast before the bus comes for you.

You could always do a private Mears car to get to the port of you want to keep that breakfast reservation. There’s no way to know when you’ll be picked up until shortly before that day. We did DCL transport back in 2019 from POR and I don’t think our bus came until about 10:30 or 11:00. We had time To eat breakfast, then do some laundry / take the kids swimming.

The restaurant may have mobile order, if you had your heart set on eating there. There is also a new coffee shop!

Back in 2019 we stayed at the GF and did an 8am breakfast at 1900 park fare. Our pickup was not till 11 and the memories and photos from that character breakfast will last a lifetime. I’d keep the reservation until you see what your pickup time is. You should know the night before a letter is left in your room. Ps trattoria is one of our favorite breakfast places!

That would be way to stressful for me. My pickup was 9.15 from Coronado but I had to be in the lobby at 9am. I was the last pick up so the other resorts would have been earlier pick up than that.

forgot to check in at 30 days.....so we have a 1:45-2pm arrival time. Staying at the beach club the night before. So we have 8am breakfast at cape may, and will spend the morning at storm along bay. jump in the car around 12:30.

the one time we did Disney transfers, the early morning pick up was the worst experience. time is literally money in these instances.

What time did you get to port Canaveral ?

do dcl pick up at all stars ?

Thanks everyone. I decided to cancel for breakfast (womp womp because I know they have a great breakfast there), but booked a dinner reservation the night before. I am definitely one that would be stressing and trying to rush everyone through breakfast and that’s no way to start a vacation!

Unless you actually know your pickup time, I'd be wary of booking something that could be a tight timeline especially if you really want to take time to experience it (versus just planning a quick breakfast). We'd gotten used to being picked up at the same time while staying at different resorts, then one time we discovered we were being picked up 90 minutes earlier than we'd ever been. And we were out for a late dinner the night before the cruise so didn't discover that until about midnight when we returned to our room.

We got there right around 10.20, as I was the only person being picked up from Coronado we left before 9.15am as the bus was there around 9.

It would not be worth the stress for us or the cost due to being rushed. You would also likely need time to return to your room to grab carry-on luggage. Onboard ship all your food is included.

We’ll grab a light breakfast while waiting for DCL transport to pick us up at All Star Movies then enjoy a nice buffet lunch onboard.

"Rush everyone" implies that this is a larger party. I would have priced out different transfers from your resort to the port; chances are that it would be cheaper than DCL and you'd still be able to enjoy the breakfast you originally wanted.

Back in 2018 our pick up from a Disney resort was not until noon. Not sure if that has changed and it is earlier now. We had a larger party this time around (11) and opted for private transport. The price was less than taking the Disney transport and much more comfortable. We had our PAT and were able to plan ahead based on that. Much easier than the first time around not knowing the time we would leave until the night before.
