We have a breakfast coming up at Cape May Cafe at the Beach and Yacht Club at 8 am.. what's the best plan for getting there (we don't want to do a taxi or anything like that).. bus to Hollywood Studios and then walk over? We don't mind walking at all we're just looking to make sure our transportation plan will be accomodating us at such an early hour if the parks haven't opened yet...

Thanks DIS!

You can take a bus to the Studios, then walk or take the boat to the Beach Club. (Personally, I'd take the boat and save my legs for the park later.)

Or if you're going to Epcot that day, you can bus to there, walk through Future World, and exit out the park at the International Gateway. The Beach Club is a short walk from there.

Here's the problem you have, you have an 8 AM ADR. If you catch a bus to the studios and walk, you better give yourselves at least 45 minutes. (I think it's about a 15-20 minute walk.) If you catch a bus to the studios and then the boat, it could take as long as an hour. Don't forget, busses don't start running until 7 AM.

We did this last trip, and used a taxi for a 10:30 AM ADR. We had free dining, so I figured the cost of the taxi was not a big deal, though it did cost us $15 each way. Meal was tasty, though I discovered I don't find Disney breakfast buffets as interesting as the lunch/dinner ones. Also, the only poor service we had to the whole trip, not really bad per se, but the waitress kept making little mistakes: Waitress took away my place setting while I was getting my food (of course, DW who was at the table at the time and didn't stop her). later I asked for water glasses for everyone, she only brought one, little things like that. Character interaction was good, but it seemed weird to see Chip and Dale separately...seems to me they should be together at all times, but they came around the restaurant separately. (I guess you didn't ask for a review, but thought I would give my 2 cents.)

Awesome! Thanks so much for the advice! I knew I could count on the DIS to point in the right direction, I'll have to talk it over with DBF about what route we should take specifically.. but it's definitely good to know that we should reserve more time for getting there! I'm very glad I asked and will report back on our experiences there when we get back!
