Breakfast at Cape May at the Beach Club

We did breakfast there on our first trip to Disney. It was one of the best character buffets we went to( and we did a ton). It was the least crowded, the characters stayed out the whole time and the food was delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very relaxing. It didn't seem as hustle and bustle as the other character meals we went to. I think you will really enjoy it.

It was not crowded at all, and it had wonderful food. The only bad thing is there was so little people there the characters were almost lined up to be at our table. So we had a character almost our whole breakfast :confused3 But there was mickey, minnie, chip, dale, goofy and donald all in there beach clothes.

We love Cape May Cafe! We've always had very good food & great character interaction :goodvibes We love that it's quieter than many of the other character meals.

Characters are Minnie, Goofy, Chip & Dale in their beach attire. In all of the years I've been, I don't believe Mickey & Donald have ever been listed as characters at the meal.

This is my family's favorite character breakfast by far. We are all adults and we love that the atmosphere is more laid back, and it never seems to be as busy as some of the more well known character meals like Chef Mickey's. My sister loves it because they have an awesome fruit and yogurt bar for those who are not big fans of eggs and other hot breakfast foods. You also get great character interaction.

We are planning on going there in a few weeks, too, for breakfast. Glad to hear the good reviews.

On another note, what is the best way to get there from the Polynesian?

if i am not mistaken, you can walk to the TTC from the poly. from there, hop on a bus to the beach club.

p.s. i LOVE your signature - your kiddo descriptions cracked me up! lol!

We were just there on 4/5 and loved it. The food was great and the characters were really great. Had a great interaction with Chip - he hugged me, had me pose for a picture kissing his nose, and then pointed to DH's Red Sox hat and did a thumbs up and little dance. Since it's just DH & I, we usually don't get that enthusiastic of a response from the characters - and these (Minnie, Goofy & Chip) were all really great. We've been to O'Hana, CRT, PF, CP & CM before and thought this was the best.

It's our favorite breakfast! :) We always stay at the YC/BC and our tradition is to eat there on our day of departure... something to look forward to on such a sad, sad day :rotfl: :rotfl:

We've never had a bad experience there @ breakfast-great food, incredible character interaction, good service! :thumbsup2

We all LOVED the Cape May character breakfast! Great character interaction, fabulous food (especially loved the make-your-own yogurt parfait bar and MICKEY WAFFLES - which are a MUST for us when looking at TS breakfasts). A really broad range of breakfast choices on this buffet. Can't go wrong, IMO.

Transportation-wise, I would go to MGM/HS via bus and then take the ferry boat which is over to the right from the buses. OR, if you are going to be in Epcot prior to your breakfast, just take the ferry - which is located near England. A ferry will take you to the lighthouse, which is in front of the Beach Club/Yacht Club area.

There could be a bus that goes there directly from the Polynesian, you can always ask at the front desk of your resort.

Have fun and be sure to try a Mickey waffle or two!! :dance3:

We like going to this breakfast when we stay at the Boardwalk Villas or Beach Club Villas. It never seems to be crowded. The food is really good. Their is great characacter interaction and they look cute in their beachwear!

The *very* quickest way to get from the Poly to the BC would be to take a cab. Next quickest - monorail to TTC, bus from TTC to BC.

Don't try to go monorail - Epcot - BC. You'd have to change monorails at TTC anyway, and once you got there, the boat/walkway from Epcot to BC is in the very back, while the monorail is in the front. That's a long walk in the morning. Secondly, World Showcase doesn't open til 11am, so they probably won't let you back there to walk through anyway.

Cape May breakfast is pretty much our favorite character meal, and one of our favorite breakfasts. We're going there during our May trip and definitely looking forward to it. :thumbsup2

This was our breakfast choice on Tuesday morning. We were staying at Pop and the cab fare was $10 which included the tip (think it came to $8) .

we checked in thirty minutes early and were seated within seconds. Our server was slow the entire time we were there so I sent DD up to get a plate of food before she even checked into our table. After she got back I went and she still hadn't been by to ask about drinks so I grabbed another CM and requested drinks and she got them right away.

The food was good. I tried bites of a lot of different things and one of the new things they were testing out that day was a peanut butter and jelly pizza (had marshmallows on top) it was OK not great.

DD only at watermelon -- but lots and lots of it!

I took pictures and again I'll get them up soon as I'm just getting back home.
