i am planning to have character breakfast at cafe mickey on our next trip? is the food the same as that served in the hotel or does it differ?

It's called an American Buffet. So you get the same as at the hotel plus cooked buffet food's such as suasages, bacon and eggs.

You can buy the breakfast for 25 euros per adult or if you are staying at a Disney Hotel you can pay an upgrade fee of 17 euros per adult instead.

Sorry I didn't get the childrens prices as we didn't need them.

thanks a lot:thumbsup2
will be staying at cheyenne so we'll have to pay 17euro for adults

You can pay for it in advance and add it to your existing Disney booking - the adult price is £12, child is £8.

If you really want to do the character breakfast, I'd suggest the later sitting (9.30am). I was at the 7.30am one last week, and wouldn't recommend it - no characters at all until 8.10am, and we had EMH so wanted to hit the parks. At least if you have the character breakfast at 9.30, you'll have had the opportunity to do EMH if its on, then enjoy a leisurely break with Mickey & Co :goodvibes

I would suggest having a character tea instead as you're staying at a Disney hotel with breakfast included. If you pay for a character breakfast, you're basically paying for the same meal twice!

I speak from experience, and this was only pointed out to me after I had booked and payed for a character breakfast! There were muffins and brownies as well as cooked breakfast (in addition to usual breakfast stuff available in hotel) when we went.

That is the same reason why we would advocate character lunch or supper in the evening :)

really helpful advice thanks a lot everyone.
most probably will be having dinner at cafe mickey during our stay so i guess we could skip the character breakfast.

Have to admit that we've booked a character breakfast for our January trip - we're taking my parents for their first DLP trip and when we ate here during the evening previously we weren't that impressed with the food but food the food and character interaction better at breakfast.

on our last trip to dlrp me and my boyfriend went for dinner at cafe mickey and we enjoyed it so much that we went again during our week stay.
this time my sister and her 3 yearold son will be joining us and its gonna be their first disney experience so im trying to plan out the trip so they enjoy it as much as possible.
still long way to go but my nephew is so excited for this trip that he gets everyone excited . lol.
