We will be staying at BLT in August and are looking at having breakfast on 2 different days at a resort at one of the monorail resorts. It does not have to be a character breakfast, but they are also not off the list.

One will be on our free day and the other will be on our departure day. We are flying out in the afternoon so time should not be an issue.

We will be having a character breakfast at Hollywood and Vine on the day we go to Hollywood Studios and will be eating breakfast in the room on the 5 other days.

Our plan is on the days we visit the parks to have lunch reservations between 1 and 2 at the park we visit that day. Dinner will be quick service at the park we hop to after 5.

What breakfasts would you recommend at BLT/Contemporary, Poly or Grand Floridian?

I think we would do Chef Mickey on our departure day but am still open to other suggestions.

I'm a solid Ohana breakfast guy. Yes, character meal, but it's Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch. Do wish they had bacon though and not just sausage, but growing up vacationing in Hawaii has led to an obsession with POG juice.

Grand Floridian Cafe is my 11 year old's favorite in all of WDW. DH's is Kona, except mad the platter is gone. I like them both.

I've read great things about SH71, too.

I am thinking SH71 for dinner on our free day

Personally I prefer the 'Ohana character breakfast to Chef Mickey's.

Big fan of Steakhouse 71 here, breakfast and lunch.

Kona Cafe is my favorite. If you can stray a little bit from the monorail, Whispering Canyon Cafe is worth it.

Steakhouse71, unless you want the Tonga toast from Kona. If I had time on departure say, I would Uber to Boma. IMO, best breakfast on property.

We will be staying at AK on another trip so will do Boma then.

I think we might want the Tonga Toast

I loved 'Ohana, the plant based sausages have been the best I've had on location (plant and non plant based)

To me it's a question of if you want a set meal, like a buffet or family style or want to be able to order off a menu. If the former, I think 'Ohana is a great way to go, if the latter they I would lean toward Kona, the macadamia nut pancakes are really good.

Kona Café at the Polynesian. Best coffee on property.

Only go to Chef Mickey's if you have an extremely high tolerance for noise.
