Hello everybody,
I hope my two questions are really "new" (if not, I apologize, but I can't find the same topics in the forum, expecially about breakfast).
I'm going - for the first time - to WDW in May 2008, probably in All star movies resort. Two simple questions:

1) Is breakfast included in the room rate (I think I'll get Magic your way base)?
2) Is transportation system from Resort to Parks reliable? I read about "impossible crowded buses". From this point of view, is it better All Pop resort?

Thank you very much. Please forgive my poor English.
Riccardo

No breakfast is not included in your rate until you booked the dining plan.

Many people do not find the transportation bad at all.

Welcome to the DIS.

We found the transportation from Pop to all the parks really easy and reliable when we were there in February. We never waited more than 5 - 10 minutes for a bus and often times at night leaving the parks, more than one bus showed up. We LOVED not having to do our own driving.

We just stayed at POP and we found the transportation on par with the other resorts ... with the exception of one day on the TL Water Park/DTD route.

I think you can safely plan to use the Disney transportation. But, if you do have your own car, there are some places that we prefer to drive to on our own. I would not rent a car, though, just for getting around Disney property!

Unfortunately, no "free" breakfast. Many people will bring their own cereal and then just buy milk in the gift shop or food court to save $$ and/or time in the morning. My DD and I just flew down and we transported a coffee maker (non-glass) and took coffee and instant oatmeal. This worked really well for us. We had also ordered from Staples.com a case of water to be delivered to the hotel. Some people will even order some grocery items from other sites as well.

Anyway, I think you will have a wonderful time.

Welcome to the DIS boards!!!
You won't get a free breakfast included in any rooms at WDW.
As for the buses...they really are quite good. When you consider how many people Disney moves every day, and from so many different locations, well, it just boggles the mind. The buses from resorts to parks come about every 20 mins, sometimes less at busy times (park opening and closings). Yes, the buses can get crowded enough that some have to stand. But, no ride is so long that it is all the bad to stand for the duration of the ride.
You can not get buses between resorts though. You have to take a bus to a park and then transfer to the appropriate resort bus there.
Oh, POP has some of the best bus service on-site. They do not share a bus route with any other resort. To the best of my knowledge, only AKL does this...all the other resorts either have mulitple stops within the resort (POR, CBR, etc) or stop at another resort or two. Yes, POP is a large resort, with many guests. But I have always had extremely good bus service there...and I've stayed there 4 times so far.

Looks like you got your breakfast question answered. As far as transportation from the AllStars, it's pretty good. We've always stayed at Sports which is the first pick up/drop off. Often times the AllStars share buses and Movies is the last pick up/drop off on the route. So you may have a very crowded bus to get on or have to wait for the next one because the bus is full from Sports & Music. But I've never stayed at Movies, this is just my observation of the AS complex. But Allstars always seem to have plenty of buses. Enjoy!

Welcome! Yes, the busses are very good. You will have no problems getting to the park. This year I am renting a car because my children would like to have breakfast and dinners at some of the other resorts and I have found that it is easier to drive to those than transferring from the hotels. The busses do get very crowded if you leave the MK after the fireworks at closing time. Other than that we had a great experience always! Enjoy!

We stayed at All Star Movies in October. Sometimes the buses were crowded, like at park closing, but we found that we did not wait long for a bus and for the most part, they were not overly crowded.

And some of the buses we were on picked up and dropped off at all 3 All Star Resorts. :goodvibes

Enjoy your trip! We will be there in May, as well. It is a wonderful time to go to Disney.
