If we get up early and head down to San Diego to visit Sea World, any suggestions on where to stop for breakfast part way down along the ocean. Thanks!

I think I'll answer my own question. :) After doing a bit of surfing, I found that there is a Ruby's Diner on the Oceanside Pier that we might try. If anyone has been there and can comment, great, if not I'll report back in October.

<font color=navy>I go to San Diego quite a bit, but have never stopped along the way to eat near the ocean. PM or email Tink33 - she lives in Oceanside, and might be able to give you a couple of good suggestions.

We usually stop at the Dennys or Carrows near San Onofre - that's the halfway mark from my house & where I go in SD.

Enjoy, it's a beautiful drive.

In Pacific Beach there is a wonderful breakfast place called The Broken Yolk. We loved it, it doesn't look like much best is some of the best food we found. This is from a restaurant review I found on it:

With more than 20 omelets on the menu, this cafe does break a lot of yolks. On weekends, you'll find folks re-fortifying constitutions that were wasted during the week's labors or wetted in the previous night's reveling; and on weekdays, locals who seem in no hurry to be off to work. There's a dare-you type special on the menu: It uses a full dozen eggs and costs under $2 if you finish it in a hour. The lunchtime menu includes burgers, patty melts and anything else that you can cook on a grill.
