Breakfast ADRs in the parks and changes in park opening times

Hi,
We're planning on travelling the week before Christmas 2015. On our first trip to wdw, we used ADRs for breakfasts in the parks before opening. I noticed that wdw changed a lot of the opening times for the parks in December 2014 to earlier than originally listed. Did anyone have breakfast ADRs in the parks during this period of 2014 and if so, did you find it beneficial or a hindrance to your touring? Were the crowds okay even after your meal, our would you advise to scrap the breakfasts in the parks?
