Brazillion blow our vs keratin treatment?

This is what the girl at the salon told me. They are not THAT different. The Copola Keratin is for more curly hair... With the copola you can't wash your hair for 72hrs. You must keep it straight, which means you have to straighten it immediately when you wake up... you can't wear it behind your ears, etc. With the BB you can wash your hair that night. Where I went, they both cost the same. My hair is not very curly. I did have to blow dry and straighten it in sections to get the straightness I wanted. I got the BB 3 weeks ago b/c I needed the Keratin put back in my hair due to overprocessing. I HAVE NOT TURNED MY STRAIGHTENER ON IN 3 WEEKS and I live in south louisiana!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please feel free to ask any questions.

I got the keratin 2 weeks ago & I LOVE it. It was a pain to wait the 72 hours to wash it but I would do it again in a minute. My hair looks so healthy & no more frizz. My salon won't do the brazilian anymore as the goverment put out a report that there may be too high levels of a chemical that can cause cancer.

Yes, you can get it if you color. I got the BB because I had to color correct my hair, and I wanted it to be healthier!!

I was scheduled for the Brazillian Blowout and my stylist cancelled because there was a report that it containe Formaldehyde (sp). Anyway, she has since sent an email saying that the levels are very low and should not be a health risk.

I just started using the Avon shampoo and conditioner for frizzy hair and the Avon Lotus Shield. I love it and may not need the Blowout. I have had so many compliments on my hair this week. The BB is $125 for my stylist's regular customers, but most in the salon are charging $200+. I got all three Avon products for under $20, on special.

I wish that had been my price!!! I know it goes by the lenght of your hair. My hais is a tad bit past my shoulders and it was 350.00

I do the Keratin treatment and love it! I have frizzy hair and it has been a lifesaver. I used to do Japanense Thermal Straightening and this is sooo much better.

I got mine done originally at Ulta. BTW, you can color the same day as you do the Keratin!

There have been many changes to the Brazilian Blowout since it first came out. It no longer contains the strong chemicals. There are now two versions, one that lasts 6-8 weeks and the other 3-6 months. In December I am going to try the one that doesn't last as long to see if I like it. If so, then I will have the other one done in the spring.

I will be having my hair colored the same day and it can be dyed anytime after having blowout done.

Just make sure your stylist has been certified in the process.
