Wow! Thanks for the post, I wondered what happened with that.

She is a very troubled girl. I'm glad she is doing time, she put those people through hell.

I'm glad she's being punished for what she did too. But it makes me sad to think she won't be able to spend time with her baby for his/her first 2 years!

I think the baby may be better off without her the first couple of years actually. Imagine how emotional she would be during those long nights of sleeplessness and how she would react to the child. I hope she gets the help she desperately needs and can return to a life of normalcy with her child later. JMO. Too many children are abused in the heat of the moment these days and I would hate to think an innocent child is at risk.

That baby is ABSOLUTELY better off having its mother put away. When I first read the story I was thinking what a real blessing it was that this baby would be away from her for a couple of years, and closely supervised after that.

Then I was stunned to read a post expresssing sadness for the baby.

Spend an afternoon in the child psych ward in my hospital and tell me if you still feel the same.

If left unchecked, I can just imagine her baby doing the same thing twenty years from now.

(Hoperfully by then, they'll have space shuttle cruises. We'll all have to divert to Mars because her child is too homesick to go to Saturn with us.)

Yeah, the baby is gonna have it rough. But hopefully for a couple of years without a "disturbed" person controlling its life.
