Bras for young girls (tmi)...

LOL - my dd12 needs a bra now, but at 10, when still "budding," I couldn't believe the bras out there - they now come with ****s! No wonder why little girls look so developed!

Have the same problem with DD10. Just needs a bit of extra coverage in that area. What I found that we both love is that some of the tops we bought at JC Penney's have a bit of extra material in the chest area. I didn't know they made any like that, but was thrilled when we found them. Its like just a flap of material sewed on the inside. These tops and her sports bra are just right, nothing shows through and she is comfortable with them.

We have good luck at Limited Too. They do have the padded ones, but they also have some non-padded ones that are great.

The Sports Bra style is easy to find (Target, WalMart, etc) and can be bought almost anywhere. The non-sports bra is tougher to consistently find. We bought most of DD (now 12.5) early bras at Limited Too. They always seem to have some in stock. We have also shopped at Khol's, JC Penny, and Target from time to time. DD needed a strapless for one of her formal dresses on a cruise last year - we bought that at Limited Too.

Get outta town! It's been awhile since I checked this board (with a month to go before our first cruise, I'm always on that one) but I had a notion in the back of my mind to post about this very topic!!! And here I get on this evening and there are 2 pages of info on it!!! DD is ten and definately at that point although I am in complete denial! I guess I can deny no more! Thanks for all the tips! Penny's and Kohl's are my favorite stores anyway so I will be there soon! DD hasn't even brought it up but DH and I have noticed the small but visible difference in some of her tops! Uugghh!

My 7 year old..who really doesn't need a bra...no ****ie in sight...LOL, but she really wanted one. When I looked at the little bras in Walmart, I was expecting little white bras, maybe a little pink bow in the middle..something modest...instead, I was taken aback with these crazy colors, THICK padding and underwire..I couldn't believe it. We managed to find her a bra and panty set, and the bra looks like a sports bra. She loves it..and sadly, she wants another set. LOL...I'm soooo not ready for this.


I was censored for saying B-o-o-b...I guess I should say..Tata..LOL

We had to get some bras for my step daughter this year...I got her a HSM bra and panty set for her 9th birthday...before she really needed them, but so she'd have them when the time came and get used to the idea. Now she wears them pretty regularly. (We introduced deodorant while at Disney this year! She LOVED it! )If people are looking for more padding without actual padding...wearing two at once does the trick! This may seem uncomfortable, but it's not. It gives the coverage you are looking for without stacking the chest!

I was totally without need until I was in the 10th grade...and that was on a wish and a prayer! Here comes my 9 year old step daughter...on her way to womanhood as she enters 4th grade and moody as all get out...like a teenager...but smaller...I can only imagine her actual teenaged years!
