Branson Missouri??

butterfly house, scenic railroad, light show on the landing, off the top of my head

One warning about the butterfly house. Before you go in, they show a short film on the life of a butterfly & it ends with a praying mantis eating the butterfly. We just did get my 5 year old's eyes covered in time :(

End of June :) leaving just before the 4th..

Perfect weather time to go to water park or hang out on the lake. :thumbsup2

It will be crowded so make sure you use the blue, red, yellow routes.

In addition if you are going to SDC, make sure you leave either very early or late if you have to travel on the strip at any point on SAT or SUN.

I am purchasing the annual pass it is cheaper that way even if we don't go back, plus we get all the free passes for the kids..:) I have booked just seven gables inn on the strip..We are staying Saturday thru Thursday...

Bigger tip I can give is to search out the alternate routes (blue route, yellow route, etc) and use them. If you just try to go back & forth on 76, you're going to be in miserable traffic most of the time.
1000x this!! will save tons of frustration. The alternate routes are marked on all maps of the area yet I am amazed at how empty they always are!
The Landing is fun if you like to shop.
My kids LOVE Dixie Stampede (we have gone many times over the years thanks to a friend that worked there)
Be prepared to WALK in Silver Dollar City-it is built on a hill and there are few flat areas :) Ride the coasters after dark too, if possible. They aren't lighted except at the start/end so totally different experience at night when you can't see where you are going.
the Wonders Of Wildlife Museum next to Bass Pro shops in Springfield may finally be reopened. The flagship Bass Pro is pretty neat too.
Save your money -skip the water park and rent a pontoon boat on the lake for a few hours instead. It is a great lake for family boats.

When is the best time to get silver dollar city tickets at discount, they had a special buy a season pass and get a visitor pass free for a day..I don't see us needing a season pass..

They sometimes offer a discount for late day entry (like after 5) and give a discount with that ticket for a season pass upgrade but I don't think I have seen any discounts per se-usually buying same day is same as online (without a service charge). If you are planning on going for more than one day then season passes are a better deal. sometimes companies can get a group deal for discounts. Parking is free but check the calendar and if it is a concert night I recommend splurging on valet or premium parking-will save lot of time leaving at end of night:) and you won't have to wait for a shuttle (some of the over flow lots are NOT within easy walking distance!)

^^^We've used the "after 3, tomorrow is free" deal for Whitewater before. Incidentally, the final 2 hours of the night are the best hours at Whitewater. Most rides are practically walk-on at that point.

My wife and I don't like them but a lot of people go crazy for buckets and boards. They are on DCL a lot and they always talk about playing in Branson Missouri. Just looked them up and they have some shows coming up. Find a clip on you tube to see if you might like it. Once again I don't like it but a lot of people love them.

For all of those that have done Branson before, what is the best way to get a good deal on multiple attractions?

We are doing:
1 day at Silver Dollar City
Ride the Ducks
Patsy Cline Remembered
Moses at Sights & Sounds Theater
Talking Rocks Caverns
Large Pontoon Boat Day rental at Tablerock Lake
Dixie Stampede
And of course dinner at Lambert's!

The season pass at SDC won't really help us since we cannot use the free passes. There are 11 of us traveling, all adults/young adults + my 9 year old twin nephews.

What about Branson Landing? Are the fountains worth it? (I know they are closed now due to flooding, but just in case they open by June...) I am afraid they are just going to be a big let down after The World of Color at Disneyland.

Yes definatley check out the landing area. Its a nice shopping area right on Lake Taneycomo. The flooding will be long gone by june. These are flood control lakes and they pump the water thru the system quite easily

Agaon your really missing out if you dont go see Dogwood Canyon and Top Of the Rock. Both are just spectacular

Lambert's is so fun, but there will be a wait.
AAA has discount tickets.
There's zip lining too if your into adventure.

Check reservebranson.com for tickets. I haven't been on there since 2012 but it is a legit site no timeshares. I know I got 2 days for the price of one tix for SDC and my Dixie Stampede tix there at a discount.

My grandkids liked the waterpark--best was when it was open after dark, short lines, not much of a crowd.
There is also a diner--can't think of the name, we like to go to for ice cream treats. It is across the street from the Wax Museum. There is a miniature golf course by the wax museum that was open til midnight so we did that, too. No lines, no waiting.

Then of course,
Dixie Stampede
SDC
Ducks--get your tickets ahead of time

You can also go horseback riding--some places offer breakfast trail rides.
There is Shepherd of the Hills to tour, eat at, watch the show.

Tons of shows to choose from, shopping, Springfield if needed.

Some fun things I didn't see mentioned
Acrobats of China
Six
College Of The Ozarks

Also, they they are bringing in a ferris wheel from Chicago.
