Brand New to Camping - want a teardrop!

Here is a link to my build journal for our Benroy (teardrop) camper. The first page contains a couple of pics from our trip to the Fort over Thanksgiving week.
If you are considering building a teardrop camper, the folks on this site are extremely knowledgeable and love to share ideas.

I am impressed at the craftsmanship. Very nice.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 It looks bigger than any Teardrop I've seen before. What are the dimensions?

Thanks for the nice comments. My father was an excellent teacher. He had great patience with me when I was growing up. He taught me a skill that I truly love.
The dimensions are 5 foot wide and 10 foot long. It probably looks bigger due to the cabin being 5 feet tall. Most teardrops are 4 feet tall due to plywood being 4x8. I decided to make it as tall as I could and still be able to get it in my garage. Being a wooden camper, keeping it stored inside should add years to the life of the camper.
Teresa and I have had a driver, a pull camper, a pop up and now the teardrop. Needless to say we were a little apprehensive about the teardrop (size only). After 1 trip to the Fort...... we love it. Traveling from Kentucky to WDW, we travel I75. Pulling the teardrop through Atlanta was a breeze. Well.....not exactly a breeze.:scared1::scared1: Can't wait to go back in April.
Again, thanks for the nice comments.

So I took my DD and her best friend camping on the local beach a couple of weeks ago. We tented, cooked over the campfire, slept right beside the water, got cold, got wet from the rainstorms that swept over the area, and had a fabulous time! We loved it, all except for the getting cold and wet parts - those weren't that fab but we got through them.

We got back and were joking around that we need a camper trailer next time, and then my DH saw a tiny little teardrop trailer behind someone's small vehicle in town. We asked if we could look inside, and it is the best thing ever! It's basically a bed inside, with an outlet and some overhead cabinets, and then on the outside there's a little fold-down kitchen. It is so darn cute! But I was looking online and it looks like a new one would set me back about 10,000!!:sad2::crazy2::scared1:pirate:

Any experienced campers seen these around for a more reasonable price?

Sandynd, I was wondering if you had looked any further into the teardrop camper. The DW and I have just recently returned from our second trip to the Fort. Again, all I can say is we loved it. It is definitely a different way to camp. Different but no less enjoyable.
I have reposted a link to my build journal. The folks on the www.tnttt.com website are great.
