So I have a local friend who bought 4 day park hoppers for her family and a 5 day hopper for herself and made reservations to go with me Saturday, with the intent of changing everyone's over to a Believe pass on their last day. She bought the tickets 9 days ago. With the new announcement she's not interested in park hoppers just over the next few weeks for that price, and just spent 1.5 hours on the phone with no help. But now she doesn't even want her 5-day ticket and wants to buy a one day hopper instead (and save the others for later - she has 3 small children, and this is not the ideal time of year to use them), but there are no reservations available. If she goes to guest resources in person, is it possible for her to buy a 1-day and transfer her reservations to it, or no way? She is very frustrated, and it sounds like this might ruin our weekend if she won't go with us Saturday. Thoughts? Sigh. Alternatively, I'm stalking the calendar to see if one park hopper opens up for Saturday, in which case I'll buy it and she'll work out the 4-5 day park hoppers later on this year. It's just dumb that she can't keep her own reservation and apply it to a different ticket because it doesn't make sense to use that one right now. It doesn't work like dining reservations where she drops the reservations and if I'm watching the site I can snag it right after, right?

So we stalked the website for 2 hours and were able to buy her a one day ticket with Disneyland as the starting park. I thought it was going to be harder than that, since I thought both parks would have to be available for a hopper. But apparently now. Now she has time to decide what to do with that other multi day ticket.

I'm glad you guys got it worked out, but how frustrating!
Yeah, she's feeling fairly annoyed with Disney right now. She researched to make sure she was doing it just right and had it all planned out when she bought those tickets, and NOPE. I get Disney's side, and I get her side, but there are definitely a lot of frustrated people these days!
