With my luck they'll stick me way out in the furtherest Ranchos building facing a bunch of woods where I run into Mr and Mrs Bob with all their youngins every morning and Allie/Bill hiding in my tub and will probably have drunk conventioneers on each side of me. lol

This is my first post. We will be at CSR the end of May and I can't wait. I have not stayed here before but it looks beautiful. The room redo looks great and I am so excited that it will be a queen bed. Here is my question. I saw on earlier posts that there are microwaves on first come first serve basis. I will definitely try to get one. Not sure what my chances are. I would like to bring a small toaster from home to use for breakfast. Is there a problem with that or is that against the rules since the room doesn't have a kitchen?

Either way I am sure we will have a great time. My DD is bringing her boyfriend. He hasn't been since he was little and is not sure he will like it since he doesn't like roller coasters. I can't wait to show him how much fun it really is. I know he will love it.

Welcome to DIS! We are going to be at CSR at the end of May as well (22-29)! I think your DD's BF will love it, there is alot more to WDW than roller coasters! This is our 2nd stay at CSR, first one was only a couple days, so we are looking forward to exploring and relaxing there.


I don't know about the toaster sorry but I am sure someone else does.

Does the Ranchos section have many water views besides the quiet pool near 7B or the little bit of lake you can see from the corner of 6A? I've looked thru the CSR photos thread, and really didn't see any.

We currently have a water view booked because when I called for free dining thats all they had. And I have requested Cabanas 8A or 8B, because we stayed in Casitas last time, and I wanted a change.

But, as I read all of these threads, and I think about my currently injured foot, I am wondering if my smartest move would be to just request a building as close as possible to a bus stop,like Ranchos 6A just incase my plantar fascia acts up again during trip time. We really don't care what our room view is anyway.
And if we request Ranchos, would it be worth it to keep the water view?
I could shave about $200 off our ressie if standard view is available.

What do ya think?
