are all casitas the same? (if you click on the little picture-- it goes to a bigger one if it helps.)

Yes, all the Casitas are the same. After I enlarged it, I believe that might be Casitas 3 right on the opposite side of the quiet pool which is by Casitas 4.

Not all building have a quiet pool??

I think giving up being close to the Dig might work out-- if i get a place by a quiet pool. We WILL be back at the resort in the afternoons

No, all buildings do not have a quiet pool. The Casitas quiet pool is by Casitas 4. There is a quiet pool in the Ranchos area and in the Cabanas area.

Only 7 more day:cool1: Then I will stop asking questions:lmao:

My DD10 and DD7 want to get their hair braided, they do this at the resort right? If so where? When we stayed at CBR the hair braiding was located near the pool.

I love reading this thread and it's making me so excited for my upcoming trip! 19 more days until I check in to CSR! :cool1:

I love the look of the casitas but I have put in a request for the cabanas due to the location and the fact that they have all been renovated. I have my fingers crossed that we will get the cabanas, but we'll be happy anywhere.

I plan on using the online check-in and will make sure to report on here about my trip when we get back! Thanks for all the great information.

I do not recall seeing the hair braiding. I know that it was reproted in the past by someone who used to keep this thread up to date that they used to do it but that they had stopped.

Have fun all those who are leaving soon!

Wish I had a countdown for less than almost 3 YEARS. CSR will need a new light refurb by then! :rotfl:

The CSR has only one sink, but lots of counter space. There is a coatrack.

WOW!!! Is this what ALL the CSR rooms look like now? May be the factor that finally gets me to try the resort! :thumbsup2

Quick question for Kat or JamesLynn (or anyone else who might know).
In reading several threads, I've seen both that it is best to fax in a request a few days before our trip to get the section we prefer and that it is harder to get an upgrade if you ask. I know these are different things, but I was wondering if it is best for us to fax in our request or to just ask nicely when we arrive.

We would prefer a rehabbed room and a water view would be great. We currently have a king reserved. Does that decrease our chances of getting a rehabbed room?

As for online check in - we will be arriving arond 4:00 pm on a Wednesday. Is online still the way to go?

JamesLynn - Are you available for pictures? I told DH about a CM on the Dis who was helping me plan and he asked if that was going in the scrapbook! :)

We are so excited for my son's first trip!! He will love seeing Glen (though he will call it a doggie - he is 15 months old). Thank you all for the great info!

Go ahead and fax in your request before you arrive. We have some amazing people who work in the back office who are good at granting room requests.
There's also a manager stationed in the lobby. Chat with them and sometimes they are also helpful in pixie dusting to get your request. Find out where the room is at check-in and you can also ask for the cashier to check for another room that fits your request. We have some amazing front desk service advisors who are wonderful at moving rooms around to get guests what they would lie.

You can do online check-in if you would like. Our on-line check in guy will already have your room assigned and if it's the room that you have request, you won't have to worry about having to have us move rooms. With online check in, if you don't like the room, you can ask for a change. It just slows down the online check in time.

I am available for pictures. Gosh I feel like Mickey Mouse! I work Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights. Friday nights, I'm not available because I am the graveyard back office girl. But I'm around the rest of the nights and early morning.

I was not expecting it at all. Blew me clean away when I opened the door and saw the room!
Needless to say, we spent quite a bit of time at the resort this time around, and we're booking another CSR vaca 14st week of Dec. (provided I don't rent DVC points instead... :))

I am down to 2 weeks. Getting all the final details figured out!

Thanks Everyone for all the info!
