Alice, is this a meningioma? My mother was diagnosed with a meningioma on her spinal cord, at her neck, right before Christmas. She's having surgery Feb 4. The tumor itself could lead to paralysis, but so can the surgery. Brain and spinal cord...very scary surgeries, but right now we are finding comfort in the fact that it is benign, and that the doctors are hopeful.

I'll be keeping your mom and your family in my thoughts and prayers, and I'll be looking for an update.
