Brain dead, need help, room discounts?

My brain seem to have melted in the 100 degree heat we are having. Do we, as members, get discounts on rooms reserved for cash? Also, can you reserve cash rooms through MS or do you need to call CRO?

To get the DVC member's 25% discount on DVC resorts, the member has to be staying in the unit, and you do this through MS. If you have an AP, use CRO. You can link reservations for cash and points, just let MS what you want to do.

DVC members can get a room for a discount if avabilbe.
Call your DVC CM to book a room. We hve done this many times.

Technically, CRO and MS cannot link an AP rate reservation with a points reservation. But if you have the other reservation number noted on your reservation, and tell the front desk when you check in, you should be able to stay in the same room. But you must tell the desk when you check in. And make sure the same name is on both reservations. We had a points reservation with my husband's name and an AP reservation with my name on it and they were not set to be in the same room. But when we checked in, the front desk made it happen.

Thanks everyone. I was trying to come with a way for our friends to be able to come with us in October, since all rooms for points appear to be gone, and the rack rate is so high. But I guess this angle won't work either. I also have an AP, but there are no discounts yet for October. Oh well, thank you for all your information!!
