its our 1st time cruising and lucky us its on the wonder.my daughter is 9, and i want to have her hair braided, how much is it vs. the ship or in nassua?we leave oct 3,2002!!!we can't wait.any helpful suggestions are welcomed thanks. julie
We've done the hairbraiding and wrapping at the WDW resorts before heading for the ship and friends just came back who had it done on CC. Between the two sets of experience the price is $1-$2 per braide depending on the type. Be advised a girl with a lot of fine hair can end up with a LOT of braids.
As for Nassau - I'd be really careful. Anyone out there that actually did braid in Nassau?
We just did the hairbraiding last week at Castaway Cay. My daughter has thick hair and it took 28 braids at $2.00 a braid. It really is staying nice and she absolutely loves it. I think that it is well worth the money.
We have done the wraps and I think that they are a waste of money. Go ahead and have your 9 year old do it at Castaway Cay. Kimberly would definitely do it again.
My neice had her hair braided in Nassau after much hassling. They were quoting $2 per braid but we talked them down to $1 a braid. This was a much better deal considering they had their whole heads done.
Just remember that you can talk them down. Most will do it for less. Also, it takes forever(or so it seemed). Make sure you allot an hour or more do get this done. We almost missed our dinner on the ship due to getting hair braided.
I don't know if your stopping in Freeport but last year I got my hair braided on Freeport. I got the top of my head in cornrows and the rest in braids and it only costed $60. I have really thick hair to. What my dad did was he set a price before they started to braid my hair so he already knew what he was going to pay for it.
