(Sorry, this is the first time I've had a camera phone. I'm acting like a teen with a new toy. )

Happy July 4th, everyone! :goodvibes :dance3:

Lucky you! I just watched them on TV and they were fantastic!

I just can't imagine what it looked like live. We were watching them on TV and looked spectacular! Enjoy your fourth!

Just watched them on tv too! My husband said that the tv probably didn't do them justice...they were beautiful!

I got to see our counties fireworks from my farm (several miles away, so no noise or debris). It wasn't quite Macy's, but it was very cool.

we watched them on TV too - they were awesome!!!! They were better than DC's - and we are watching Boston now. They are really good too, but I prefer New York's. Would have loved to be on the Norwegian Epic!!!!!:)

Ahhhh - lucky you.

Last year I met DH in NYC for the holiday weekend. He immediately got sick (little bug) the first night. He spent July 4th in bed feeling a little better by evening.

When I checked in Crown Plaza had upgraded us to a concierge/fireworks room so we didn't even have to leave the room.....we watched the barges setup and had a beautiful view. We ended up with no battles with crowds or long waits in the heat.

What a GREAT show on the Hudson!

I can leave the TV on so I still hear the music. :happytv:
My cat gets a little freaked out hearing all the cracking outside, but more I think she's more freaked out because we're hanging out the window during all this. :magnify:

I was able to see them from our attic window and they were so beautiful. I loved it!!

I'm glad they finally moved the fireworks back up the Hudson a few years ago. I hated when they were way down near the Statue of Liberty. Now, both sides of the Hudson got to see it. :thumbsup2

Yes, it's great seeing fireworks and not worrying about all the smoke & debris. Plus there's all the crowds who went over to see it up close. It can be like a zoo.

Watching fireworks on t.v. doesn't seem to do it justice IMO, it's just missing something. I would rather watch them in person.

Since the Jones Beach (NY) fireworks were cancelled this year, the towns along the Great South Bay had Grucci doing fireworks. The two best places to see multiple firework shows were on a boat on the bay or on the shoreline, which is where we were. There were 5 shows close to each other going on at the same time over to our right and then the one across the water from us. It was great! First time I had ever seen so many fireworks going on at the same time and I think the first time it was ever done!

Had a partial view up on our roof. :)

My kids hate watching fireworks in person. We watched Macy's on TV together. It was also great because they were on at 8 central. Can't wait to watch from our room at BLT!
