We fly out of BDL every spring, usually park either at the Sheraton Garage or Galaxy self park. There has been lots of construction there the last 2 years and wondering if any of the newer parking lots that are walkable are open? How are the rates there and which lot has been the best. Flying out April 3rd, and also taking another trip end of June. Thanks for any info that helps!

checked it and cant tell for sure which of the new lots will be open, one lot that is supposed to be new says closed, and the other newer lot I cant tell how far it actually is. Just was looking for some real life recent experience. The garage across from terminal that has a walking bridge appears to be 116 for the week I think? and no coupons allowed there. But there has been much construction going on just past the sheraton the last 2 years...

I've been looking for the same information. I would like to use the park and walk lot that is currently showing still under construction. I have been unable to find a projected finish time for the project. I will just keep checking periodically before my May trip. Fortunately, I'm staying the night before at the Sheraton in the airport, so even if I have to park at a farther off lot and take the shuttle, I don't have to worry about the time lag impacting my ability to make my flight.

Did you get a sleep and park deal? Often if you stay a night you get a deal for parking. We live close and dont need to stay the night ahead. I just called the parking info number and Lot1 which is a park and walk lot just passed the sheraton is open and takes the one day free coupon I printed out from the site. so for 7 days with taxes it looks like 64.57. its 72.00 for the week plus tax.

DH travels frequently for work and has a Bonvoy credit card. He's using the free night award for the pre-flight stay. We are about an hour+ from the airport. It's an easy enough drive, but I have a 5am flight. In order to get there with a comfortable window for boarding, I'd have to get so little sleep that my first day at WDW would be difficult, especially as I'll be with a 4-year-old.

Our return flight is scheduled to get us in mid-afternoon, so assuming no major flight delays, I should be able to get home with low to moderate traffic.

Either way, I'll have time on both sides of my flight to deal with shuttle delays, should they occur.

Since we're in western CT, I usually fly out of NY, but the parking situation at LGA is completely ridiculous right now. Once I factored in parking, it was less expensive (and easier) to fly out of BDL, even with slightly higher airfare.

but can his program for the room qualify for the added parking to it? We did that deal years back when boys were little to make the AM easier! Check! parking maybe can be added for a nice deal? We also have the first AM nonstop flight, we may go with the Lot1 parking with coupon!

That I don’t know. It seems like there wouldn’t be a park and fly deal for a free room, but couldn’t hurt to ask.

Joining the conversation a little late....but can offer a few tidbits from my BDL parking over the last year.

In August I parked in BDL's "new" Express Lot 1 and it was very convenient. The entrance is just past the end of the main terminal- if you get a spot close to the building there is an elevator that takes you up to the hallway the Sheraton is on. If you get a spot too far out to easily walk, there is a shuttle. It is cheaper than the long term garage parking and (at least as of a couple of weeks ago) you could print a first day free coupon.

My husband really prefers parking in the garage (he doesn't want to shuttle from off site and likes to leave the car under cover)- which we did a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately there is no way to make a reservation, so availability is not guaranteed. (My plan was to check the garage and then head to Express Lot 1 if there wasn't a good spot.) The garage is, of course more expensive. We paid $154 for 8 days. It is cheaper to park off site (or in the more distant airport lots), but man is it nice to just walk quickly into the terminal.

Last summer I had a very early morning flight out with just my son. We did a sleep n fly parking package at the nearby La Quinta- the room/parking was cheap (and clean/comfortable enough) and the morning process was slick. The car sat in an offsite parking lot across the street while we were away. Definitely check for sleep n fly parking options with your potential hotels.

From the official site it looks like Lot 2 is back open (park and walk). That or Express Lot 1 are my go-tos as they're walkable, but much cheaper than the garage.

I'll be there March 20 and can verify. We'll be at the Sheraton the night before our flight, so probably trying for Express Lot 1 for the convenience.

thanks everyone!!!! We also love being able to walk to terminal and have parked in the Sheraton Garage the last 2 years for 66.00 for 8 days, and I cannot find that deal again so was looking at the new lots... we printed out the Coupon which can be used for a day free at LOT1, we fly out April 3rd, and also doing a june 27th flight out.

The BDL website has up to date parking info including when lots are full. You might want to have plans a and b and check on what is open or full. There are sometimes coupons there too.

yes! printed the coupon for one free day, if for some reason the Lot1 is full we will park across the street at The Parking Spot self park.
