bracelets

when i lived in nyc, i saw them a lot. since ive moved to south FL, i havent really noticed them. theyre dumb neway. i remember seeing a thing on the news about them a while ago. its amazing what people will buy.

in the newspaper they had a article on the plastic braclets and it said wut all the colors ment and it said like how girls are starting to dress like not as conservative i guess and they where upset about that i think its stupid b/c theyr just braclets and to girls they dont mean nething well they didnt here until it was in the paper

Girls in my 6th grade class used to wear them sometimes, but that was 5 years ago when they first started to come out and before all this stuff came out about what they meant. Every now and then I'll see a girl wearing one or two, not too often. I agree that they are pointless and a major waste of plastic.

I have friends that wear like 30 on each arm. I'm like doesn't that take forever to put on and off. Oh well. I think it's kind of demeaning

I wear them because I like them, and when people ask me "don't they mean something" I tell them they are stupid. ;D

I have a green and a pink one and my friend gave them to me because she knew how much I absolutly LOVE watermelon colors...lol...I started that trend at school...But I really don't care that they mean anything!

since somebody found a way to make money off of something as simple as colored plastic.

I wear those things, and its so stu[id what they made up 4 them! they even banded them from some skools, thats so stupid, and pointless!:crazy: pirate:

yeah, they banned them in my school, too, and my mom wont let me wear them anymore....lol but i think its just a simple way to make you more prettyl!!!!! :teeth: :teeth:

i herd of them but never found out what they meant. I have a couple but it was when they came out and when they were popular and i think it is stupid that they make things up for the colors.

Are you talking about the Live Strong bracelets, those kind of things? A lot of people in my school still wear them. But what's so wrong with them? I can see those ones you buy at a dollar store are pointless, but what's wrong with that ones that support something??

Lance Armstrong started them. They were all yellow and the slogan was "Live Strong". The money used to buy them were used to support those who had suffered cancer like he had. It was a charity cause.

After those were a big "hit", other colors were released...some with extremely stupid and meaningless reasons such as the "Harry Potty" color.

Though, some other colors did support other causes like breast cancer, lung cancer, and other things like helping kids who suffer abuse and so on.

Some have meaning, some don't. If you think they are stupid, don't buy one! lol simple as that.

They are a dollar, I bought the original bracelet.

::yes::

I have the Lance Armstrong one and I still wear because I want to support cancer patients. At lot of people at my school bought them because "everyone else had them", not because they wanted to support people. It was like a "status symbol". :sad2:
