Bra question for the ~Ladies~

If any previous posters read this...does the VS bra or bra from Vanity Fair have underwires? I hate those, but looking for a better fitting bra. Thanks.

I hate underwire!! In no time it's like the underwire is poking out and sticking me. Sounds like I just need to go get fitted for a bra. Ugh.

I checked out the Her Room site and I clicked on Oprah's picks. You better be making what Oprah is if you want to afford one of those bras!

I love VS bras, but they are limited in larger sizes.

I have a couple of Wacoal bras that Oprah swore by. They are okay, but, again, I hate underwire!

I can't remember which brand makes it, but I've seen a strap that goes across the top of your back and hooks onto each bra strap on each side, to prevent the straps from sliding off your shoulders.

I think you will find that if you have a properly fitting bra you won't really notice the underwire. It shouldn't poke you so my guess is your bra is too small. The underwire will give you more support and help with the original problem of the side stuff getting put in the right place. Also, if your straps are slipping, make sure you tighten the strap adjuster properly. I am always amazed at how many people don't adjust that. Bras have to fit people from 4'6" to 6'6" so the straps are long to accommodate all kinds of body types. Some people do just have more rounded shoulders though and need something to keep the straps up.

On the less expensive side, Walmart carries Just My Size bras and they have one in particular that has a side support that works great. I've bought way more expensive bras, but the JMS is the one I always put on for comfort and looks.
