BR when is it available?

Is BR available for dates starting at 120 days out or does it come sooner sometimes?

Just wondering when I need to start checking.

Also can the BR go up? For example is this possible?: if a BR is available at 120 days out and say its $239 and then can the rate be at 60 days out $259?

OK, I think there is some confusion here. Best Rates are currently out through 2/15/06. You must book BEFORE you hit the 60-day mark. If you wait until you are 59 days away from check-in, you can't use the program.

The rates are already discounted through 2/15/06 and they have not changed since the program started, up or down.

I am looking for BR for December 2006 so I have a lot of time! I guess what I am wondering is when will the program get to December 2006? Is it at 120 days or is it at 60 days? Or is it some other random date.

I am all for booking as soon as I can

I see what you are saying. Yes, you have a while yet! I would say it would be sometime during the summer next year. There are no set dates for releases as of yet since there has only been one new release since the program was introduced.

You CAN book a regular room at rack rate now if you like, then cancel it if you get a better Best Rate next year. Regular rooms are refundable if cancelled in advance (I think 5 or 6 days, 45 days for packages)

Oh thanks for this info! I was wondering about this as well. I was thinking I might book AAA rate if its available or a rack rate and then see what I get for BR. But since I do have so much time and the rest of my family thinks I am a bit crazy, I am trying to hold out a few months!

This is exactly the information I wanted as well - thank you . I will be looking for a Best Rate but not until Oct 06. I'm not buying my AP until next July so am I right in thinking I can't book a BR until I actually have the AP?

Lots of time for all this fine detail, just like the OP. We are an obsessed bunch aren't we!!!!!!
