Boycott Old Navy-For the Irwin's!!!

Has anyone else seen the newest Old Navy commercial where they are giving away prizes every hour? Except the poor schmuck "Irwin" who would rather stay home cooking bacon than winning prizes! At the end of the commercial they tell you to "Don't be an Irwin - be a Winner".

Well guess what my family's last name is?? You guessed it Irwin!!!!

All I can say is I hope the commercial is over because we have many friends that have now called us to see if we've seen the commercial. I really hope their contest ends soon, because I can just imagine what my kids will have to endure when school starts next month.

Actually, don't boycott Old Navy, but feel free to complain on their corporate website on my behalf!

Actually a few minutes after I posted this I decided to give Old Navy corporate a call. The gentleman I spoke with in customer service was very nice and said that he would pass on the information to their marketing department. We kind of laughed about the whole thing. Luckily the commercial is only airing for a week!!! But he did say if they were successful on their promotion they might do it again. I told him to pick on the Smith's or the Johnson's the next time!

He apologized and thanked me for calling and offered to send a $10 gift certificate to use at Old Navy. So I guess the Irwin's are winners!

Looks like you have a Disney trip coming up soon with your mom - Enjoy! 1-1/2 years ago I took my mother to Disneyworld with us and she unexpectedly passed away 1 month later at age 59. I was so thankful for the wonderful time we spent with her at such a magical place. I know that my kids will have some pretty wonderful last memories of her at Disney. Enjoy your trip and have a wonderful time with your mother!

I'm a winner too. We were at Old Navy yesterday and we won the prize! I little bitty teeny bag of jelly beans. At least the kids were happy.

Sorry that you felt that way...but it's likely their worst commercial ever. (what cooking bacon has to do with clothes I have no clue)

Aww thanks for the well wishes! This will by my 16th trip with her (I think 12th or so just the two of us!). I'm sorry to hear about your mother, it was great to have a last trip with her.

Good to hear about the $10 gift certificate... hmm maybe I should call too!
