Got up Thursday morning for our 7:20 am CM reservation, called a cab, it never showed up. Great folks at SSR took us over there in record time, walked in exactly 1 minute late for our ADR...... Or so I thought! Gave the lady my name, and she didnt see my ressie. Asked my phone number and she said, ah yes, I see your reservation, it was for yesterday!!!!

OMG, no way!!! I swore I had planned everything to be at the park closest, and I knew I was going to MK for spectro and wishes that night!! Guess I didnt triple check my ADR's. Sad part was I had them printed out, and saw the CM and the time and didnt even LOOK at the day. :sad1: :faint: I felt horrible, I had gotten everyone up early, this was my 75 year old mom's first trip to WDW, and I wanted her to get mobbed by the fab five..

All I can say is THANK GOODNESS for pixiedust: !!! The lady saw the horror on my face. I didnt get upset, I just thought she was looking at it wrong lol. I had pretty much accepted that I had just 'ruined' our day. But as I said, when you are there, just think positve thoughts!! and pixiedust: can come thru for you. They still took us and got us seated, and we got our breakfast. So THANK YOU!!! to the folks at CM for helping with my mom's first trip!!! I cant say enough!!

Glad your story had a happy ending. I showed up at a retirement party 2 days earlier than I should have. And I showed up one week earlier for my child's dentist appointment. The funny thing about all of this is I'm usually just on time, rarely early....except those two times.:confused3

LOL That sounds like something I would do! LOL I am glad they got you in!

Glad you were able to get in!

Same thing happened to the couple in front of us trying to check in at WCC last year for dinner. The cast member could not find their ADR anywhere, kept checking & checking and finally said, "Oh you were scheduled here for LAST NIGHT.

The couple asked if they could still get a table and the cm told them there were no table available & they left.

My father once managed to get us to the airport for a flight back home after a vacation on the day after the day for which we were booked!! :scared1:

Good that they still got you in! I think this is one of the good effects of the ADR system as opposed to real reservations, they can accommodate last minute "emergencies". :goodvibes

This happened to me at LeCellier, but it wasn't me who made the mistake. I know because I had made the ADR for our first day at Disney; I would never have made it for the day before because we weren't going to be there yet. After a bit of talking they did get us in that night - but we had to come back an hour later

On our first trip in 1994, I did it at Hoop-dee-doo! They refunded our money, even though they didn't have to do and we went next door to Crocketts tavern and had a fabulous steak dinner.

While we were eating someone came by and said "Hi Neighbor!" It was one of the people from the neighborhood we had just moved into - we would not have recognized her had she not spoken first.

Glad you were able to get in!

Glad everything worked out for you. Although I've never had a bad ADR experience, we have 16 ADR's for our trip next month. I have checked, rechecked and triple checked these for any mistakes or conflicts...and so far everything should be a go!

I normally do, and I kind of did, but obviously I just kept hearing the place and the time, and not paying attention to the date! I will make sure that I check all the info next time! :)

I had a similar thing happen for breakfast at the Castle some years back. I thought the YC club level itinerary planning office had made a reservation for a certain morning, but they had not. However, despite my lack of reservation, they somehow managed to fit us in that morning.

This happened once to us at Citricos. After racing to the MK DH decided to that we should take the boat to the GF instead of the monorail. I argued "No, No we are eating at Citicos-monorail will be much faster." The boat was just pulling up and all the kids were like-"Yea the boat." Well, this had to have been the longest boat ride ever. Really choppy water, captain could not get us alongside the dock until about his 6th attempt. Took a REALLY long time. Anyway, we race to Citricos from the dock. We are 10 minutes late. My kids note that it's too bad we are not eating at Narcoossee's since it's right there. DH gives me this lame "Okay, so you were right about the boat." I love being right. :rotfl:

We get into Citricos and they don't have an ADR for us. I pull out my confirmation numbers and the CM looks us up. Turns out we are not 15 minutes late for Citricos, we are 15 minutes late for Narcoossees, which we had just ran past 5 minutes ago. Our ADR for Citricos was for later in the week. The very nice CM's call Narcoossees for us and let them know that we are on our way. DH just has this stupid smile on his face. As we walk back to Narcoossees, I tell DH that I was still right about the boat. :goodvibes
