We are at DW 2/15-2/20...staying at Pop.

Original plans were to eat breakfast at Ohanas on Epcot day... however---wondering now if Akershus would be better, more convienient. If it is... what is best way to get there from Pop. Would have 8:30 ressies.

Or should we just eat breakfast at Pop and have Biergarten for lunch?

You could either drive or ride the bus from Pop to Epcot. I would leave no later than 7:15 to be there and in the park before 8:30 and at the place that you will eat. Same is true if you decide to go to Ohana. Leave at 7:15 on a bus to the Magic Kingdom, then get on the "Resort" monorail to the Poly (10-15 minute ride) You can ride the Monorail from the TTC to Epcot after breakfast.

That said, we never do a breakfast anymore because my kids had rather have something in the room or food court and eat someplace better for lunch or dinner. It's just whatever you decide is best for you. I have heard that Ohana is VERY good though.

We booked breakfast at Akershus on one of our Epcot days and loved it. Then we did not worry about lunch at all as we wanted to try various snacks around the world. And ended up at either Coral Reef or Garden Grill for dinner. (We ate at both places, but I forget which one on that particular day).

I noticed your signature says your daughter is 10. Does she like the princesses still? It's a good way to meet, and get photos and autographs. Plus your daughter gets a free photo package with Belle!

My daughter was 11 and had a blast! I had told her there was no where to dine with the princesses before our trip. She was so thrilled when we walked into Akershus! :goodvibes

DaniB... anywhere in particular your daughter enjoyed food wise? We are doing a surprise CRT the first morning we are there. Kinda why i am thinking that Akershus will be too repetitive.

Since you're doing CRT I would go with O'Hana. Our daughter is not a fan of the breakfast at Akershus but she is a rather pick eater.

Another quick thought...if you are wanting something closer to EPCOT have you considered Cape May Cafe for breakfast? That is a great character breakfast.

Ahh, see now - my daughter is a VERY picky eater. But I knew from reading menus that she would find *something* to eat at the various places I booked.

I debated over CRT but decided against it as we already used 2 TS credits at Spirit of Aloha. I didn't want to book 2 more for 1 meal. So many restaurants to try! :rotfl: Luckily I heard about Akershus and it seemed very "regal" once we were inside.

The *only* meal I worried about was the Garden Grill but I figured she is 11 years old and could tough out one meal or be hungry. ;) I knew my husband would love to see Chip & Dale walk up to our table. However the CM serving us was great! When he saw she was not eating anything, he brought her out completely different food that she did eat. What a nice guy! :thumbsup2 He told me it was common with kids.

Ohh yes, if doing CRT then yes - try Cape May Cafe instead of Akershus. I wouldn't do both CRT and Akershus on one trip.

I really wanted CMC breakfast but swapped it out for the Garden Grill dinner so hubby could have Chip & Dale.

I wanted CMC for this upcoming trip as well, but ended up swapping it out for Everything POP. Odd choice, but 2 mornings we plan to dash out to US for Harry Potter and such as we have never been there. So there go 2 morning TS meals.

Then it came down to Kona Cafe or CMC. No kids this trip.. tonga toast... Kona Cafe won. Maybe on another trip!
