boxes etc. for e- bay - help!

I've just started selling on e-bay, but I am now trying to figure out how to send all of this stuf Does anyone have a good source for boxes etc. I have been using some priority mail but they are so limited on box sizes. Thanks!!!

There are tons of places to get boxes..the best ones are free. Check with a local Christian books store..they get deliveries every day. Drugstores are good, as are dollar stores, and most any store that gets deliveries.

There are also mayn places you can order on line..try to find a place closer to you to save on shipping. And of course look up boxes in your yellow pages. Here are some on line places:

If you order the Priority mail supplies through their website they have many more sizes than at the PO... they ship them to you for free as well!

You can buy boxes at almost any of the self storage places, office supply stores and places like Mailboxes etc (now called UPS Store).

Priority mail should get you most of what you need BUT if you're shipping large, expensive items you might want to buy proper packing.

I have not posted on DIS for a while. But recently was surfing the forums and noticed the eBay thread.
It never occured to me to "eBay" my way to Disney, or anywhere else for that matter! What a GREAT IDEA!
At any rate, I just put up 7 auctions last week and made a profit, after eBay fees, of $!85.00!
The only problem I have encountered is the BOX issue.
I sold a Yamaha keyboard with stand. I am having the most difficult time trying to find a proper sized/shaped box to fit this item.
The buyer resides in Washington state, and I live in MA so I am trying to keep shipping expense down. The total weight is about 25-26 pounds. I am going to ship Parcel Post.
The problem is the stand. Collapsed length os 40 inches and it is 20 wide.
Is is possible to wrap this up in a collapsed, corrugated box and tape the edges? Kind of like a gigantic mailer? Will the Post office accept this?

I go to my local bike shop for boxes for stuff like this. I break it apart, turn it inside out, and "make" a box. I use the backside of a knife to score where I'm going to fold. Works very well.

Thanks for the great idea Doris!
I just called our local bike shop, and sure enough, the owner said to come in any time.
This solves my dilemma, I was really worried about what I was going to do.
