I don't know who designed my townhouse but the obviously didn't have a queen sized bed (or a large sofa). When I first moved in I only had a full-size bed. Now we have a queen bed. Problem is...it can't get up the first set of stairs. The ceiling on the landing is not high enough. (We couldn't get my sofa up last year either; its in the family room in the basement.)
Anyway, does anyone have any ideas on what to use instead of a box spring? Currently the mattress is on the floor and its way too soft. We thought about getting a platform bed but in the near future we are getting a whole new bedroom suit so that would be a waste. I also thought about getting 2 pieces of plywood and putting them on the frame to use for now.
Any suggestions?
