Due to popular demand, I have added two new categories to the awards ballot:

Queen of the Cougars (people) and Favorite First-Timer (door)

If you want to be considered for the door awards please add your name and room number to the "Door Contest" tab of the Master Cruise Doc. If you want to be considered for the Favorite First-Timer award, please make a note on the Door Contest tab before April 2nd.

Speaking of Ottawa, there's a group of us fro Toronto that are heading to Ottawa the last weekend in May for the marathon weekend. Were having trouble finding reasonable hotels. So hopefully we'll be able to keep ourselves training through the cruise. (sounds easy, but not with all that great food and dessert)
T-Rex is very cool!!! your kids will love it


We are total WDW newbies and have no idea what we are in for but I went ahead and made a reservation for dinner at the T-Rex for Friday evening. We are staying at the All Star resort. Hope I made a good choice! :thumbsup2

Group Photo, Lunch, etc...

I got the first email back from DCL Functions. They have a spot for 100 of us in Lumiere's for Noon on the last Sea Day (April 22). We'll make a sign-up for this to get a better idea of numbers (onboard). We'll need to confirm # with the Dining Room Manager a few days before.

Photo suggestion: 11:45 outside Lumiere's, just before we go into lunch.

Photo, take seats, order, give out awards while we wait, laugh, talk, eat, SM reveal while we wait for dessert - then people can leave at their leisure ?

DCL Functions is still working the BUNCO location/time.
 
Krisann - our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Unfortunately we never know moment to moment what is going to happen. Like you said give children and grandchildren also an extra hug.

Anyword on the landyards?

For scrapbooking should we bring stuff- although I don't know where I would fit it.

For the person that asked about the SM - I have a couple and some gifts are for both of them and some are one for each.


For the Lanyards they should be to you this week - they have charged my credit card today and I do not think they charge till they ship. I will double check with them in the morning.



As for the scrapbooking - I will be showing DIGITAL scrapbooking - no need to bring anything with you - several people had asked about digital scrapbooking and I volunteered to show how I do it and what I use and how easy it can be!

Make a list of your favorite foods that you cannot get on the ship - that is what I do. The kids love rootbeer and dr. pepper - so I hope to include those. I then ask for some other ideas but I say yes or no to them - she will make it customized to you if you want.

If I had little kids I would probably do the sandbuckets.

Not me! I am actually terrified :scared1: to make contact with people - I am not kidding. I did contact DCL Functions for BUNCO and Group Lunch, thanks to others giving me the contact info.

I wanted to know if anyone else has worked with Shutters before on a group photo, so we would know how to go about getting it done (and hoping that person would volunteer).

If left to me, I would be on the ship before anything was done, so I could talk to Shutters personnel face-to-face. I have much better success this way than dealing with anything online or on the phone.

I suppose this might surprise some of you. :goodvibes

Just a reminder to those using the taxi service for Gibraltar. I re-read the info and the price quote was in pounds - not US dollars. So you might want to get a handful of them.

There are 10 of you. A nice number to round up and put in a cage!

May I suggest you do a pre-sunset photo on a Sea Day to get nice lighting? We've traveling into the morning sun - so not then and definitely not midday - too many shadows on faces and squinty eyes (which would be after the Group Lunch).

Definitely wear your tiaras for a few of the shots - I'll come and shoot you (with the cameras; my big cat game-hunting gun can't come along). Each of you should bring your own; I'm sure there are several good photographers among this group.

This sounds like the best time and place....especially since we have a place reserved for us there already.... maybe cougar photo after?

Are we doing 10 pages per day? It seems like it every time I check in.

Ah well....this is the week of "lasts." Last needlepoint group tomorrow, last choir practice Wed. nite. WDW, here I come.

OH...e-mailed a request to TA today; she reminded me that we'd (she'd) already taken care of that but called DCL to confirm it was done. I e-mailed back a "sorry" (I think I have too many future cruises booked and am not keeping good track of all of them!). She wrote back that I'm probably the MOST organized person she deals with. Poor TA...I don't feel that together!

OK, where DID I put that tiara?
 
I am reading some of your posts and feel your excitement. I am excited for you and jealous all at the same time. Not going on this cruise, but went in 2007 with Cupcake and Brooklyn! You will all have a fabulous trip. Since I live in Florida and will be at one of the restaurants taking pictures of the Magic leaving, PM me or whatever if you want me to send you a picture. I am not tech savvy to post on the boards - sorry! I will be waving with my Mickey TA hand they gave me from 3 years ago. I cannot tell you how jealous I am and you are about to have the time of your life. ENJOY!!! Don't forget about that awful time change - but that is the only "bad" thing and that ain't so bad. ENJOY and let me know if you would like a picture!!!!
