......one more teen boy (DS 14) .... I can get him to change his clothes and I can get him in the shower...but it is hours till I can get him out!....

I am soooo glad we have a split bathroom this time:thumbsup2

I think most teenagers are clones.... He changes clothes at the drop of a hat...unless we are going out... and he spends hours in the shower... he really polite to everyone except me?

You have my son.... He changes clothes at the drop of a hat...unless we are going out... and he spends hours in the shower...I make sure I am in first.

One last one...Is he really polite to everyone except you?

Of course! .... I have to remind him of the "magic word" (you know...that please word) :rotfl:
But I figure....(for now) if that's the worst of it.... I am in pretty good shape.:woohoo:

So, they're driving you to WHERE you can drink?:rotfl2:

Well considering I don't drink it would be saying something! Some are trying to pretend I am not going on vacation and not giving me what I need and others are realizing that I am going and are dumping tons of stuff on me to get done. The piles on my desk get larger each day!!!:headache:

Wow. I miss one day and I have about 15 pages to catch up on!! I thought I was the only one excited. And since it is Sunday let me be the first to say.

WE SAIL NEXT WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1::banana::cool1::banana::yay::cheer2::thumbsup2

Wow! We are very excited to have found this forum!! My husband and I booked this cruise well over a year ago for our family. We are so excited that we don't have so long to wait anymore! Really fun to see everyone here so excited about the trip. And interesting too to see where everyone comes from.

:welcome:

I can't remember who asked me what the prices were for the Rosa Regala I found but here they are:

750 ml - $20
375 ml - $14
187 ml - $6

But my favorite wine was NO WHERE to be seen. They are waiting for a delivery -

Kristi

does anyone know if you are allowed to take sparking wine in your checked bags? someone asked me that thinking they would explode - this is from a person working at the liquor store but I had never heard that and have brought champaigne back before and don't know if I was just lucky or is it ok.

We are traveling with dear friends and their 8-year-old son. The husband and wife both work very long hours, and don't have much time for anything else.

Someone had posted that with the baggage restrictions, he won't be taking all his FE gifts home, and asked if it was alright to "re-gift."

I replied our friends' son would be delighted to receive a few items.

You can leave things at our cabin, which will be listed in the Mini-Navigator. We'll have a FE.

Thank you for your thoughtfulness!

Woody

ok so how do we tag his stuff - "woody's 8 year old friend" or do you have his initials - or at least his first itital to put on the tag so you know it is for him?

One hint that is one of the best things we do is to purchase a rolling duffle. I purchased a second one (31 inch at Sams Club for $40) and was able to put the items from 2 carry on size suitcases into the ONE duffle - and it is flexible
Krisann

I second this suggestion. We bought a travel scale (absolutely necessary for us now!) at a luggage store and when we weighed our luggage we realized that it was 12 and 16 pounds!! That extra 10 or so pounds can make a huge difference in what you pack. We now use rolling duffles that are about 4 or 5 pounds.

It's just easier going commando.

Woody

Ewww and TMI Woody!!!

does anyone know if you are allowed to take sparking wine in your checked bags?

We brought back sparkling wine from France in October and we didn't have any problems. I don't know if it is "allowed" but I know we did too it w/o any problems so I'm sure it's fine. :thumbsup2

Ok need some ideas from the men on here. I am lacking in gifts for my hubby's secrect mickey compared to the ones for me and the kids!

Can you give me some ideas of things you would like to get or even things you have received on past cruises.

TY

Ok I went away for 4 hours this afternoon and you all added 4 pages of messages and then I ask one simple question and no response for over 2 hours - is it me? Is my lime green hurting everyone's eyes :)

No not you or your lime green just I have the very same questions!! For my own husband and for the SM guy we have:confused3

Guys may be easier to pack for BUT a lot harder to buy for!

Any of you guys on the board, come on. . .now is your time to shine! What do you want for your SM gift(s)???

And the journey continues...we're still cruising our way to April 10.

If you need to catch up, here's our last thread:

We will have lanyards (free!) with name tags for every cruiser in our group
(they are paid for, it's really okay), we just need your names

Here's an example of the "with Donald" name tag -
"without Donald" is just that - without Donald at the bottom

Please help me understand how this FE thing goes. We are signed in on FE 3. We have ordered our FE. Just don't know how this works. What are the normal FE gifts? How often do you give the gifts? Do you gift everyone in the cabin? Do you wrap the gifts? Do you tag who they are from? How do you know the ages? Thanks so much. Just want to make sure that we are doing this right!:flower3:

Krisann,

Some of my favorite things that I take when traveling:

1. Small flashlight. Good for walking around the cabin without turning on the light.

2. Small compass that attaches to a keyring or zipper pull. The first time I went to Seville, I had a map, but the streets are not on a grid system. We walked around in circles. A compass would have been handy, and I now carry one.

3. Mini highlighter. Good for highlighting activities on the Personal Navigator.

"These are a few of my favorite things . . ."
