Hello,

My wife and I are planning a trip to WDW the last week of Sept.

We have a 4 year old daughter and now have a 4 month old son we will be bringing along.

We were hoping that we could find a way to get his "bouncy seat" to the hotel with us.

We go to WDW about every 4-6 months since my daughter was 2 years old ... but we never had to bring down formula and bouncy seats.

Since this seat does not fit into a suit case ... any ideas? Ship it to the resort?

We are staying at the Grand Floridian....do you just ship it to the main address and then when you get there say "I sent you a package"

Thanks for any advice,

Jason

I seem to remember someone started a thread about a portable bouncer but I cannot find it doing a search (probably not spelling it right, lol). You could rent one too - http://www.abbf.com/equipment.php?item=bouncerseat
$10 for up to 3 nights and $15 for 4-7 nights. Just another option I thought I would mention. I have never used their services but others here on the boards have raved about them.

ETA: found the thread, although I don't know if it will help. Here's a link: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=888050

I don't know what type/style of bouncy seat you have - the newer ones are quite a bit more deluxe than the one we used to use - but when we went to Dallas when my oldest was 3 months old we were able to take it apart just enough to make it flat (removed the 'leg' portion of it, took off toy bar) and packed it in our suitcase. Then reassembeld once we arrived

Not sure about sending it ahead if this is an item you use regularly at home -then you would be without if for the shipping time. Renting seems like a relatively reasonable inexpensive alternative.

I'd say that if you have an extra suitcase available, you can take the bouncy. Just take it apart. When DS was 5 months, we went to Hawaii for 10 days, and let me tell you, we took EVERYTHING. We took the bouncy, the door jumper, the Gymini thing to lay under. We just took the bouncy apart and it fit just fine in a suitcase. Good luck!

I would take a look at your bouncy. DS's bouncy can be taken apart with only two screws. Once apart, it is very packable (our old house was very small, so we had to take it apart to store it).

Otherwise, check out that abbf rental place. It may be worth your time and money to not have to mess with it - especially if you are needing anything else they have to rent.

I got home from work today and my wife purchased a collapsable bouncy seat. We wanted to get one for my in-laws house when DS is over there ... so this worked out nicely. The suggestions you all had were great. I had out the screwdriver last night testing whether or not I could take it apart :)
