48 Days til CSR!!


Anakin and I made our countdown last night. I cut out a bunch of Mickey heads and he numbered them! It's very simplistic, but he is sooooo proud of it!

I just saw your post about the cost of Cape May. I think that will definitely be one of the ones we use a table service credit for.

I think I was quoted a holiday price. But even so, it looks like it's over $36 a person, probably a good choice for your ts credit.

I LOVE the countdown calendar, it is so wonderful! Tell Anakin his NC friends think he did an amazing job!! Now we need a picture of him puling off a head! Did you have a template to cut out all of those Mickey heads?? I need one, this was a cool idea!

A couple weeks ago, I sent Goofy to Home Depot to pick up sand for the hermit crabs. I told him while he was there to pick up a few LGMH for me. He forgot the DIS color was alien green and he came back with every shade of green close to it, but including the alien green.

I cut the LGMH off the card and used that to trace onto card stock. It would have been great to own a cricut and use that, but instead I traced everyone and cut them out by hand.

I will tell Anakin. And I will take a pic of him pulling one off!

Grrrrr! I need to rethink evening EMH at MK now, since Disney transportation is messing with my mode of transportation. Since there will be no monorails running anymore for evening EMH, I am not sure if we will do evening EMH.

Usually we have a sleeping Anakin on the way out and we take the monorail or ferry back to the TTC since we don't have to fold up the stroller. Scoop him into his booster seat and head back to the resort by car. Since starting Aug 1st this will no longer be a possibility, I am going to need to rethink this.

Will Disney be running more buses to the resorts? How crowded will the buses be?

I sent an email to Guest Communications asking about the transportation. I'd like to know if the ferry will continue to run for sure. And what will happen during thunderstorms or high winds when the boats don't sail.

I cut the LGMH off the card and used that to trace onto card stock. It would have been great to own a cricut and use that, but instead I traced everyone and cut them out by hand.

Thanks for sharing Tink. I actually picked up two of the paint head samples last week when I was in home depot, cause they were cute...I just don't think I want to cut out 95 Mickey heads! Sounds like a job for the children. I didn't know the DIS color was alien green..there is SO much I DON'T know about these boards...I mostly stick to the Wish Trippers thread (and occ. a disability thread) and the PTR and TR...and I don't have enough time for those! Looking forward to the photo! I just had another idea about the countdown calendar...a 100 days poster and put stickers on them...then I can be a little lazy! Now to find the poster!

WHY will they no longer be running for EMH??? I won't ask how you know you always have the scoop! One of the main reasons I would ever want to stay on Disney property at the MK resorts is the monorail and Lisa's wheelchair! That will cause problems for a LOT of people, IMHO. I hope you are having a great Sunday!

You have 2 art projects ahead of you, LOL! You "need" to make your countdown calendar, and you need to make your LGMH so that other DISers at the parks will know you are on the DIS.

Here is a pic of the LGMH that Anakin and I made for Mardi Gras for our March stay.

As for the monorail, I don't know why it bugs me so much. It appears to be for maintanace issues until further notice. They sure do break down alot and really do need some work. It is an inconvenience for sure. Hopefully the ferry will still run to the TTC. I asked about the ferry and what will happen in high winds or storms when the ferry normally is forced to shut down. I don't know if they will bus people to the TTC or if parking at the TTC just won't be an option for EMH or special events.

Some websites seem to hint it is a permant thing. But I haven't seen any official word from Disney yet. Looks like they will run up to 1 hour after parks close and that's it. So hopefully people with very late dining reservations will know about the changes and make arrangements. I would assume buses would run from Epcot to the monorail resorts.

The only affect it might have on our trip is the EMH at MK. So I really have no reason to be getting bent out of shape.

Ok, enough venting. On to the fun stuff. I went shopping last night. I was looking for shirts. Tried a couple on, and didn't like the way they fit. The dressing room was right beside the swim suits. They were 50% off...

I bought 2 bathing suit tops and 2 bottoms, and a cover up.

This top to go with a black swim skirt I already own.

I already had the brown floral top, just bought matching bottoms.

This top and bottom

And this cover-up. It's actually longer than it looks. The only draw back is it has huge, deep pockets on the sides and it makes the hips look big.

I still want to find shirts. Maybe another day.

WHAT is a LGMH???? Do you make one and wear it all of the time? I don't think I have EVER heard about that...

I logged into mine and it has the amount of my days wrong. It is 76 until we are at CSR (I didn't factor in AKL because they don't know about that), but the Disney site says 81 days.
