I currently have a room only reservation that I booked during my July trip through the bounceback program. It is for All Star Music. I have been checking other possibilities with some of the new codes and I can save about $60 if I book a package for the same resort. Also, if I leave 2 days later than my current bounceback reservation, airfare is a lot cheaper. So I think I'm going to cancel the bounceback reservation and go with a package and save some money.
So, here are my questions. I can get a preferred room at All Star Movies (ASMu is showing no preferred room availability for my dates under that special offer) and it would cost about $50 more than a standard room at All Star Music. That would pretty much erase what I would be saving by switching from the bounceback to a package (I will still be saving on air fare by switching my dates), so do you think it is worth going with a preferred room over a standard room? I stayed in a preferred room a couple of years ago and I remember that it was close to the parking lot so that was nice, but it will probably be just me and my husband and possibly my teenage daughter, so no little kids to have to worry about walking distances. Plus, we don't really eat at the food courts so if the preferred rooms are closer to the food court, that wouldn't really be a priority for us. Just trying to get a few options if I should just go with a standard room and save the $50.
My second question is about booking a package. My daughter is undecided about going because of missing school. If I booked a package and then wanted to add her later, would they charge me $50? I read under the terms and conditions about a $50 charge for changing the package.
