I've never done a bounce back before. I'm going in November. How does it work? Do you have to stay in the same resort? What time period do you have to return? Anytime in the following year? Thanks.

Assuming you get a flyer, it will tell you a range of dates you can book. You don't have to book the same resort, or same dates. Just book in that date range before you checkout and put down a deposit. The date range is usually around the time of your current trip, only for the next year. So if you go during sept free dining and they have an offer, it would be next September. Sometimes the date range is wider, so it could start in mid August as it has in the past.

A word...if anyone gets a free dining offer for next year, it would be wide to book it. There are no guarantees when it comes to free dining and Disney has been pulling back hard on this discount.

Thanks for the reply. That's very helpful. I'm going this November and returning next Fall. There's some flexibility with my dates. Another question...when I return next Fall my brother and his family are joining us. Would I be able to book for them as well with the BB offer?

Last yr Nov bounceback only covered free dining till Aug/sept the following year. It unfortunately did not change over to fall dates till later on (?december)

Each adult on the reservation can book a bounce back reservation. The second adult such as your spouse could make the reservation but it would have to be in your name, not your brother's name.

Are bouncebacks just as random as getting pin codes or does each room get one when they are being offered? Thanks for the replies.

All guests on property have the ability to book a bounceback offer if one is available. If you don't see the flyer, just dial ext. 8844 from your room phone and ask if a bounceback offer is available. In November, the bounceback is typically for FD in mid-August to mid to late-Sept of the next year.

That stinks. We never do the dining plan. :(

Don't they usually offer FD for that time period anyway? That's slower time so there are generally good discounts then. I assumed the bounce back offers were better than what they generally offer for that time. Isn't that the incentive?

When I stayed at BLT in March, the offer was in the book I was given at check-in. It was discount % off.

The FD bounceback offer includes more dates than what they release to the public for the "late summer" period. If you travel from Dec-early August (before they switch to the FD bounceback), there is typically a room discount offered throughout the remainder of the current year (in Dec, it would be the following year). There are several blackout dates for that offer, but the percentage off is pretty high for most of the resorts.

A bounce back is a discount offer that needs to be booked, while on site, during a current vacation.

Example: I'm at All Star Movies in February... I've got an offer in my room saying that if I book my next trip before I check out I can get a percentage off the room (or free dining, etc.) during certain dates. The offer if referred to as a bounce back.

GAWD NEWB!!! :P

:rotfl:

Sure! A bouceback is an discount offer that Disney gives to current resort guests to get you to "bounce back to Disney" for another stay. You will find the offer in your package information when you check in for your stay, or there will be a flyer in your room. Sometimes they get missed, so you can just call extension 8844 from your room phone to see if there is a bounceback being offered. You must book the offer before you leave property (though a VERY few have had luck booking the offer once they returned home, but that is not normal procedure). For example, if you stay at a Disney resort this November, you would likely have an offer to return in Aug-Sept 2014 with a free dining deal. Bouncebacks have specific dates and resorts that are eligible just like public offers, but they are only bookable by current guests on property, not the public.

Does that answer all of your questions?

Along the same lines, if I book a bounce back while I'm there next month, how much flexibility do I have to make changes in dates/resorts as we get closer to travel dates? Will the dates/resort be set in stone when I book the bounce back? I know usually, on a regular package, I can make changes up to that 45-day mark with no problem at all. Does that hold true for a bounce back?

You can modify a bounceback offer, but it needs to be done by guest services (not a normal phone CM). The modification, such as new dates or different resort, must also be within the original pool of bounceback resorts/offered dates in order to keep the deal.

We were just there in February and the bounce back offer was a room discount for this fall (2013). We were already planning on going back this October, so the bounce back offer was perfect!

We're staying at BWI very soon... anyone know if there are any bounceback offers being offered there right now? (or possibly very soon?) Thanks.

Edit: I forget.. what % is the bounceback now usually.... 30% off? 35%? I think a few years ago we saw a 40%.
