Bounceback Questions

I've been lurking on Disboards for a few days, but just set up an account to post. I've never been to Disney World! It's been a dream since my childhood, and we have our first trip planned this September. There's so much to a Disney trip that I'm completely out of the loop!

I've been hearing about bounceback offers while at Disney, and was wondering how they work. Assuming we receive one, do they need to be booked before you check-out? Can the reservation be transferred to a travel agent? I'm using one from Dreams Unlimited and she has been so helpful that I can't imagine booking another trip without an agent. What bounceback offer do they usually have during free fall dining? If they have one this September will be likely be for fall 2013?

Sorry for all the questions. I have so much to learn. I haven't even had my first trip yet and am already planning my next one.

A bounceback is an offer you book while AT the resort during your stay. Once you checkout, its too late to book. Im not sure aboutif it can be transferred to a TA but i would think no. The dates of the bb depend on when you go and what they are offering at the time. There is usually a board on here that has persons currently there showing bb offers so i would check that while at disney. Also, if there was no offer in our room, i have called the front desk before and they tell us the info or bring the flyer by. Its a great way to save on a future visit. Once you book it during your stay you can change it once you checkout as long as you stay within the dates and details of the bb offer. Ive done that before. Its a great way to save usually up to 40%. hope this helps!

We just got back last night. The bounce back offer right now is only good through the end of 2012 and only for a percentage off room - no free dining.

Hopefully that changes over the next few months for those arriving but it didn't work out for us to book for next year.

You can transfer the ressie to your TA. My sister is an agent with Small World Vacations. I booked a bounceback offer while staying on our DVC points in April. Once I got the reservation confirmation number, I just gave it to her and she was able to take over the reservation for me.
