Bounceback question

We are going in August, staying at POR and I am seriously considering booking a BB offer if I get one to avoid the FD/discount anxiety for my next trip. I don't usually go every year, and think a trip for 2012 would be more reasonable, but I might book bounce back "just in case". The truth is that I am the kind of personality that most likely wouldn't cancel once I had the ressie and it would be a good way to get DH back in a year.

Anyway, my question is this...If I book a BB offer, could I make changes to it and keep the discount? I'm talking about changing resort and dates. Not sure what the kids schedule will be like next summer, not sure what my work situation will be (looking for a new job) not sure whether or not we'll like Aug. (we love Sept) and not sure if we'll like POR (first time there). So if I made a ressie using BB at POR for next Aug. could I later change it to another resort in Sept and keep the discount, or do I have to be sure of my dates and resort? Thanks for any input!

Yes, you will be able to make changes, if the changes you want are available. We've done the FD BB for several years and have always had to make a change or two--add days, change dates, etc. You will be able to change resorts if the one you want to change to still has FD rooms available--for example, you want to move to the Contemporary and it still has rooms available without the discount but the FD rooms are all booked: you'd have to select a resort that still has FD rooms available.

Have a great trip!

Thanks, then I think I will put the $200 aside and make the reservation. I can always cancel, but I can't get it later.

Good thinking. :thumbsup2 This is what I did in October for our upcoming August trip. BTW I think I made 5 changes since my original booking!!! You are right, about the only thing you can't change is the fact that you DIDN'T book the bounceback while you were there.

I hope you like POR So far it is my favorite mod. I am trying POFQ for my upcoming trip--but plan to be over to POR for the food court and Bob Jackson. I have my fingers crossed for a FD bounceback for August '11!

Is the $200 deposit per room like any other ressie? I would love to book a BB but will need to book 2 rooms so I need to be prepared.

At one point I did have 2 rooms booked with my bounceback and was only charged one deposit. Others have said they have been charged a deposit for each room. If you call and follow the prompts for grand gathereing (party of 8 or more) they also book the bouncebacks. While they can't book you prior to your trip, they are able to answer questions.

BTW, w/ a bounceback you can usually book a resort other than where you are staying, so if you want some resort other than POR you can book that even tho' you're staying @ POR.

What happens and you make a reservation with BB and you are unable to make it? Will you get your deposit back if you cancel? I have never made a reservation we haven't known for sure we would be able to make- so i am not sure of the rules on this one.

Thanks!

What is the current BB offer? I heard it is 40% off room only but it is only until Dec 2010? I want to book something next year. We will be at POP July 9th!

That is a great question! If you could get your deposit back it's a no brainer.

wow! Thanks! Now to talk the husband into taking a little extra cash to book next year....

We stayed at the AS Movies last year during free dining. I decided to go ahead and book the Bounce Back offer for this year just so I did not have to worry about whether Free Dining would be released. I am glad I booked the Bounce Back since it was for the Free Disney Dining Plan even if staying in a value. The offer released this year was only for the Quick Service plan if staying in a value. By booking the Bounce Back, we did not have to worry about the offer, and got a better deal than the Free Dining that was released since we did not have to pay to upgrade from the Quick Service to the Basic Dining.

We have had to change our reservation a couple times since booking last year. We even added an additional room to the reservation and kept the BB offer.

I would agree that it is a no brainer since you can always cancel and get a complete refund.

I want to know too! We're checking in on July 23 and I can't wait that long to find out what the current offer is.

Where do the current bounceback offers get listed on this site? anywhere?:confused3
