Bounceback Information and FAQ Thread - 25-35% off BOUNCEBACKS ARE EXTENDED through Oct 2026! Updated 5/22/2025

Has anyone had luck modify online without having to call when making changes to both the resort and the date range? Every time I try to do it, I can get to the final screen, so I know that what I want is available with the discount, but then it tells me I have to call. I can't figure out my issue when everyone here keeps posting that they had no problem modifying themselves. Could it be because I'm picking something that needs a (much) larger deposit?

I've had the same issue ever since the switch over to online self booking. I can do the original bounceback booking myself. I get the modify button thingy. I can look at and select options to change dates, resort, and room type, but when I make my desired changes and attempt to finish up at the final screen I get the message that I have to call.
Then when I do call I'm given a reminder that I can do this myself in My Disney Experience

I have the exact same experience! It's frustrating. I have just accepted that I have to call. 😕

Yep - just went to switch the resort on my previously booked 2026 BB and got to the end but won’t let me fully check out. I had to call and have the person do it over the phone for me. I mean at least we can see availability online, but frustrating we can’t make the actual changes ourselves online.

I know this was happening when those of us who had 2025 already booked wanted to switch to 2026 dates, but I thought once switched to 2026 that I would be able to modify online myself.

Could have written this whole post myself, this is my experience as well, with 2 different BB reservations. (Once was within the same year, and once was pushing it to the next year, fwiw)

I recall some early reports of people being able to modify their reservations online, but to be honest I don't recall seeing any reports of such recently. I wonder if something has changed. If anyone HAS been able to modify a BB online, I'd be curious to hear!

Not a bounceback, but I had a similar problem modifying an AP-discount reservation online. It went through the process, the room was available, etc., etc., but it wouldn't let me check out. I called and the CM on the phone told me that a lot of people were having the same problem. Very very annoying.
I'm in good company! I booked in April of 2025 a bounceback for July 2025. While I booked it online and did not speak to anyone, I was not able to modify it online. I would get to the last page and it wouldn't process the change.

I booked in July 2024 2 bouncebacks for 2025. Those did not originally had the modify button. I was able to call and get them modified (one to 2026) and the modify button appeared, and I can see availability, but I also get to the last page and it cannot process the change.

EDIT to add:
Of course, I could just leave the booking alone, but we all know that is not going to happen ;-)

And I AM grateful that I can at least see pricing and availability online!

Just curious if anyone who had/has the bounceback booked ever received one of those room upgrade offers?

I’m lowkey hoping for it, but I’ve seen some other people going the same time as us already got an offer and I’m wondering if the bounceback is maybe why we haven’t. lol. It’s not a huge deal either way but just curious.

I have not, but I've never been offered an upgrade.

BTW, @Starclassic, some of the supposed upgrade offers people have been getting from WDW are actually just sales pitches to pay more for a higher level of resort. I know this only because several people on the DIS have reported getting these.

But, hey, you are welcome to upgrade yourself anytime you want--and pay the price. I have certainly done that, even at check-in, because by then the sticker shock of booking the room and paying for the airfare, the LLs, etc., has worn off and maybe they've got a room with a better view and what the heck, I'll pay for it. YOLO.

Yeah, I know we’d be paying for it if we got the offer but I think sometimes it’s a minimal amount? Either way, I’m fine where we are at Pop currently….just thought hey, if we get offered POR for only a couple hundred more, maaaaaybe I’d be tempted to go for it….. Lol

If I use a TA can she book it for me? Or would I have to book it and transfer it to her?

If you have a bounceback booked for Pop, you can call and check to see if you can switch it to POR, also for the bounceback rate. Modifying a bounceback online doesn't seem to be working recently, so call. It can't hurt and maybe you'd get the rate at POR you're hoping for.
