Bounceback Information and FAQ Thread - 25-35% off BOUNCEBACKS ARE BACK for 2025! Updated 1/31/2025

Just to clarify @Mle8308’s comment because I can’t tell from your post if your 3 rooms are regular or bounceback reservations……you need to have the BB reservations made within the 7 days. If your 3 rooms are regular reservations, you would have to try to change them to BBs within the 7 days. Then you can modify them anytime after that.
Good point!!!

I was offered CR Club for next September. Was not interested. No other deluxe resorts were available for my dates (9/2 - 9/13) so I booked PFFQ and hope to modify. I was able to do this for my trip this past September (2024).
UPDATE: Called back and was able to modify to the WL CCV. Actually, I made a second BB reservation for the WL because a friend may take over the POFQ reservation, the CM I spoke to said I can change the lead guest's name. If not, I can cancel it. You can't book a DVC villa (even if "owned" by Disney) until the 11 month mark. So if you are booking for more than 11 months out and want a DVC classified room (studio, 1BR, etc.), book whatever you can and then call back at the 11 month mark to see if it can be modified. I've done this for the past 2 years.

I am very interested in hearing what happens with your POFQ reservation and if you are able to change the lead's name as I have been told this is not possible, but I have not tried to actually get it changed. So please let us know!

Will do! If they won't let me change it and my friends still want it, I'll leave it in my name. It seemed like a pretty knowledgeable CM I spoke with when I booked it, so we shall see! Though I can see why they might not let me change it since that person was not with me for the trip I used to book the BB offer. Didn't think of that until now. I'm not worried either way.

Are you going to be there the same time the friend is? If so, then your friend can probably be the lead. If not, from everything I’ve seen, they can’t. Basically, the friend is not “bouncing back”, you would be. So they can’t have a bounceback reservation without you. If they’re there the same dates as you, it’s OK if you’re at a different resort.

Thank you, good to know! It would be the same dates. They aren't terribly reliable when it comes to vacation planning, so I'm not going to stress about it now!

Ok @vinotinto and @focusondisney I am very familiar with the bounceback discount I have been doing it every year since they started it but I only booked 1 room for myself and my husband.I need some clarity. I will be booking my bounceback later this month but will be booking 3 rooms. Me and hubby my sister and her hubby and my niece and her family of 4. I am hoping for 3 rooms at Pop and I know they can be different room type if necessary. We will all be arriving the same day and although my husband and I may stay longer we will be there the whole time they are. Now I can book each room in each of their names correct? Also please clarify something. I thought you all had to be at the same resort. Is that correct or not. I am confused on that. Although we will probably all want to be together if I could only get 1 room at Pop but a suite for them at ASMusic or even AOA that to would be ok? Hope I am explaining myself correctly. Would appreciate any helpful info about this so I know what I am doing when I call to book. If you are still reading this thanks. Looking forward to any and all info.

I haven’t done it personally, but I know there were 1 or 2 posters who booked bouncebacks at 1 resort for themselves & a different resort for other people. So I think your plan if you can’t get all 3 rooms together sounds fine. Also, just to point out… if you & your husband will both be on the trip this month, you could each book up to 3 rooms on the bounceback offer. Just in case you decide your group needs more than 3 rooms. It might get complicated because your husband would be listed in that other room & not yours. But wanted you to know you’d have that option if you need it.

Thanks for your reply. I am hopeful I will be able to get us all at the same resort but will be prepared with 2nd and even 3rd resort options. By opening up the bounceback so early this year I am concerned. I am looking at the October dates next year so only have those 6 nights to work with. 🤞🤞 And yes my husband will be with me this year but involving my husband isn't a good idea LOL. 🙄 Thanks again for your reply.

Welcome & I totally understand about not involving the husband. Mine basically just shows up at the airport when I tell him too. :rotfl2: Have a great trip & good luck with booking the bounceback!
Thanks and yes my husband is just like yours. I am just glad he comes with me once a year. My other trips are solo which is just fine with me. LOL

Right. Just pick the resort you want and "surprise" him LOL!

Yes, you should be able to do this! They let you book up to 3 rooms total (so 2 additional rooms for people traveling with you) and they may even let you book different resorts. It's great that you have gathered your 2nd and 3rd choices. You are prepared for this! Let us know how the availability is!

Thanks for your reply. Yes I will definitely report back on how I made out.

I just returned from our vacation and booked some bounce backs. Mid-May at the Contemporary TPV 6 nights and September at Pop Century Preferred room for 6 of us, 3 rooms, 6 nights. Was on hold today for about 10 minutes and it took about 40 minutes or so. Happy with what we booked. Wanted CL at Contemporary (as I have chatted about on this board), but it was not available for TPV. It was available for Standard CL for just a few dates in May. $$ wise and for what dates we wanted, we went with TPV & Deluxe Dining. No park tickets, will wing it with that. Additionally, we always prefer to have pool view as well at Pop, but it was not available. Skyliner has certainly made this resort a popular one it seems! Much easier in pre-Skyliner years to book!

Ooof just tried to book for end of April/early May and pretty much no deluxe available (didn’t have him check BC/YC due to no pool) and also nothing at CBR. We settled on POFQ for now…. He said it is because we are doing 9 nights and there isn’t a lot of options for a long stay, but if I want to do a split stay that would open up a lot more for me. My husband isn’t a fan of split stays as we’ve done them before, so that’s a bit of a bummer…. Anyone else find it hard to find availability with a longer stay? Maybe I should call back and ask if there is anything for like 7 days then keep trying to add a day on here and there.

Did you look at the public discount for those dates? It may not be as good of a discount. Not sure of your dates of course, but I do see deluxe resorts available for end of April into early May.
