Like I do every year, I booked the free dining bounceback when I was there this past August. There is a minimum night stay required of 6 nights. I keep changing my mind about where to stay, and had a question. If I wanted to do a split stay for a TOTAL of 8 nights but divided into 4 and 4 at a moderate and a deluxe, would that be okay? The free dining would be the same level.

No, you would not be able to split under the FD bounce back and have FD for all nights as the minimum nights required would have to be met for both resorts and one of the reservations would technically be new (i.e., was booked as 1 resort/reservation while you were at Disney). With that said, there is no guarantee you would be able to take nights off of your current reservation as there must be availability under FD in order for it to be modified to the shorter stay.
