When we were in Disney in September we booked the free dining bounceback in July. We wanted to travel with friends and when we asked the castmember if we could he said we could we just needed to have one of our names on each reservation (they are arriving 4 days after us). Now tomorrow starts our fastpass window and my DH is not on the reservation so we can't make fastpasses for him. I know we are not the first people to have this situation - is there a way to handle this so we can start making fastpasses tomorrow?? Or are we just stuck waiting?

Note: My family has annual passes and my friends - two of them do and two do not....so we only booked 2 day tickets.

As long as you are making the same FP for you and your husband MDE should let you include him in your FP plans. I don't think calling Disney guest services would be a good idea because you would have to tell them that your husband is actually traveling with you not in the other room or make up some kind of lie. Bounce backs are only supposed to be for the people who traveled on the original reservation (which your friends did not) and alerting Disney to the situation may not be in your best interest.

A castmember is who told me to make the reservations this way because each adult on the room is eligible to make a bounceback reservation. I asked the question specifically and was advised by a castmember that we could do that because we are there at the same time and they don't care who is in each room.

You will be able to make fp's for your DH even if he is not in your room. We have traveled with family members who aren't even staying in a Disney resort room and have been able to make fp's for them at 60 days out. The only thing you can't do is make fp's for your DH if you're not making them for yourself. In other words, you can include him in your fp selections but he can't make his own.

My sil niece and nephew live in FL and often visit us for a day maybe 2 and we are able to make FP+ reservations for them as long as they are the same as at least one person in our party that is on the room reservation. So you should be able to make FP+ for your family at 60 days as long as at least one other person in your room reservation is doing the same FP+.

yup...only one member of your "friends and family" needs to be staying on property to book at the 60 day mark. Once the fast passes are made, I have even been able to remove the on site guest from the FP so that we can ride different things if we want
