Hi, are any of the floors for boulder ridge, have the enclosed balcony? We were in Copper Creek last year and had one, and didn't like it at all-I sit there to have my morning coffee, and I end up looking at the wall. We're in a 2 bedroom this May, and would really like to avoid it-if it's the top floor, then I would request to be on a lower floor. Thank you!!

Yes, on the fifth floor. We got one of those units a few years back, but we always request a high floor (although to be fair we usually end up on the 4th floor, which is fine).

Yes. As a Pirates Life said only in the rotunda. The 5th floor, however, does have some of the best views of the lake and the ones on the long side, odd number have fantastic views With the regular balconies. Touring plans has great views of the resort layouts and views.

Thanks-you just gave me an entirely different perspective on balconies. I always thought I preferred the closed balconies. However, after hearing your perspective, and then seeing the photos, I've got just the opposite feeling-I'm with you and prefer open balconies. BTW, at BCV I've encountered both kinds.

remember that 1 studio at BR does not have a balcony, I forget the number.

Thank you , when we joined in 2002 and had to use points up, we booked at VWL. Since I knew about the no balcony studio ( which they tried to give us on our first ever DVC trip) I kindly refused and said we will wait for another. They gave us another studio right away.

I'm always a big proponent of boxed/closed/private balconies, as I prefer some privacy when out on a balcony, not feeling like the person in the next suite is sitting in the next seat at a stadium. But I admit that the very closed off balconies at BR are too restrictive - cutting off light in the room too much, and the threshold being too high to site and take in the view. What I really wish is that the BR balconies just had simple dividers up between each villa/studio like most other DVC properties...that way the balcony could still have a view and let in light, but you'd have some element of privacy when hanging out on the balcony.
