It's been years since I stopped by the bakery in France (loved the Norway bakery until they messed with my Schoolbread!), what do you recommend? Everything looks amazing! :cloud9:

I'd like to have an idea ahead of time what to order, it's always so crowded in there and the two counters filled with pastries overwhelm me! :faint:

If you have photos, please post them!!

Thanks!

Chocolate eclairs, and yes the kringla bakery in norway shrunk the school bread but the sweet almond pretzels are still tasty.

At France I get the cheese plate for lunch...yummy...and for dessert I usually prefer chocolate mousse or they have a peach pastry and both are wonderful :thumbsup2....At Norway Schoolbread was also my favorite but I agree with the first poster that the almond pretzel is great!!!

I LOVE sweet almond pretzels!!! They are my all time favorite thing in Epcot! I'm so addicted to them that I take a Goofy Candy Co bag from MouseGears and store my pretzels in them for later. They fit perfectly and stay fresh with the ziploc closures  Without the bag, they go stale quickly.

I'll have to check out the eclairs in France! Thanks.

Pralineige - Chocolate & Hazelnut mouse torte like thing. :cloud9: It's a Must Do every trip.

I get the cheese plate for lunch and a sacristain for dessert.

The strawberry tarts are very good as are the eclairs.

I'm sad to hear they messed with the school bread in Norway. IS it just the size, or the taste also?

the chocolate mousse is wonderful - very chocolatey and cool so it's a bit refreshing if you're in the heat

One of everything - saves on decision making and regretting not trying something else :rotfl:

Or go with the napoleon. It's yummy

I love the napoleon.

The eclair I was not happy with because it is filled with chocolate. ("chocolate eclair" should have clued me in ) Although, I probably would have enjoyed it if I wasn't in the mood for a "normal" eclair.

Don't remember the name of this, but it didn't have much flavor.

The schoolbread tastes the same IMO, it's just the size really that's different. I couldn't taste the difference of the new toasted coconut.

I have had the Pralineige also and the Ham & Cheese croissant. They were both very good.

I would like to try the cheese plate. Can you remember what kind of cheeses you had? TIA

Okay, you and I have some things in common. :lmao: I was about to suggest both those items! The cheese plate is fantastic and I love that chocolate mousse! :goodvibes

From what I can remember there was a slice of Swiss, Brie and something that tasted similar to Gouda. Also we received a half a baguette when we ordered the cheese plate. I recommend getting a little more bread if you are sharing the cheese. Oh, and the cheese plate came with some grapes as well.

My husband is a big fan of the Napoleons.

I like the chocolate croissants, or if I'm not in the mood for something too sweet, the fruit tarts.

It's a French bakery. Hard to go wrong with any option! :thumbsup2 We've enjoyed quiche, croissants, baguettes, strawberry tarts, elephant ears (can't recall their French name right now!) and many other pastries. Seriously, if I could order one of everything, I would! Well, except for anything with hazelnut...
