Boulangerie Patisserie Opinions

I don't see the cheese plate on the list of options for snack credits?

We eat here every time we go to Epcot. They also now have a turkey and cheese sandwich on a baguette that is really good. Get that and a dessert and you'll be stuffed!

I love their croissants and the strawberry cream cake thing they have.

The Napoleons are just ok and the eclairs are nothing to get excited about

What kind of filling does the eclair have? I'm hesitatant to get it because I'm not wild about the filling that you usually get in the US bakeries. Besides there's lots of other good stuff and I don't like to hold up lines while I ask questions.

I got the Napoleon the last time and it was messy but delicious. I usually get the mousse but have to try new things once in a while.

Everything is divine! The raspberry schuss is my favorite, or a good old classic chocolate croissant. I wish they had a bigger seating area, there's always a line, it's very tight inside, and there is very limited seating outdoors. But that never stops me from going back!

we sat down inside the french gift shop, there were lots of tables.

My DH and I love to split a baguette and the cheese plate. We grab a glass of wine from next door, and love to sit outside with our goodies.

What kind of filling does the eclair have?

It's chocolate on the inside. I was a little shocked as I was expecting like a custard filling. I didn't care for the eclair as it was a little too dry/chewy for me.

I enjoy the Napolean, the Cake of the Day (which I'm not a huge chocolate fan but this cake was amazing and not super rich like other double layer chocolate cakes can be), and the chocolate mousse. We usually eat an early dinner, go to the bakery and get a box full of treats, and then find a place to sit (usually a curb around the lake) and just relax, people watch, and enjoy the treats before Illuminations :thumbsup2.

I love this place! I like to grab some items to go last thing in the evening before Illuminations. They put them in a box for you and yes, I carry them just right so they don't get messed up but they make for a great breakfast the next morning!
I've had the following & put my comments:

Strawberry Tart $3.95 - Love it! Yummy! Kids fight for it too.
Elephant Ears $2.95 - Classic Palmier, yum. Butter & sugar - that's about it
Croissant Plain $1.95 - good
Croissant Chocolate $2.85 - good
Chocolate Eclair $3.75 - really like it, my DH & DS favorite
Raspberry Schuss $3.95 - good
Apple Turnover $3.85 - good
Napoleon - just ok - too whipped creamy for me
Cream Puff $2.95 - just ok
Coconut Pyramid $3.35 - LOVE these but they never seem to have them when I am there???
Ham and Cheese Croissant $3.25 - this is good, but if you save it for the next day, try to use a microwave to heat it up. It is just ok cold.

I didn't see the other thing I usually get but I can't remember the name! It is a flakey butter pastry in a twist that has mini chocolate chips. It is SO good!

DD & I shared the "cake of the day" chocolate cake last year and will definitely be getting a piece in Dec. It was awesome but extremely rich. Can't wait to go back and try some new things!!!

I could eat here every day!!! The quiche and the Pralineige are especially good!

I always have to get the Napoleon. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Ditto on the Napoleon!!! I have to get at least one every trip. :goodvibes

If you like a GOOD napoleon, you have to try this one!

The pithivier, chocolate croissant and cake of the day (rich chocolate cake) are also very good. The eclair is a bit disappointing because, as someone already noted, it is a chocolate filling, not the usual vanilla custard. It would be outstanding if it were filled with the napoleon custard IMHO.

The Boulangerie Patisserie is one of the best places to use your snack credits. Many nights we stop by just before park closing and take pastries "to go" back to our resort. :)

This place is a must everytime we go to Epcot or one time we just walk thur Ecpot to get goodies here (we spend the day at MK and my husband wanted his Strawberry tart so we took the monorail walk thur Epcot and took a boat to Swan). I love everything from that place...can't wait for our December trip.

Chocolate?!

The best eclairs we ever had were filled with real whipped cream. That's at least how they used to often be served in Europe. Custard is OK but chocolate is just weird.

I agree with you about the other items. I just about died when I ate the Napoleon because no one wanted any and I couldn't throw any of it away. ;)

Well thank you all, I ahve made notes on each and every one of your posts in my Disney notebook. I think we will get 2 boxes, one of more perishables and one of things that will keep better. One we will enjoy while wathcing Illuminations and one we will enjoy in the car on the long, sad ride home. :guilty: Actually, we are in EPCOT 2 days, so I should be able to get 2 Napoleans. :yay: OK, off to exercise so I can afford to enjoy my share of these 100 snack credits! :rolleyes1
