I am crazy- just went out and bought the kinect JUST because I saw the commercial for the Disneyland Adventure game!!!! Would have been better if it were Disneyworld..but we'll take it. Toys r us had it for $299, with a bonus $50 gift card- so I will be using it tuesday to get my Disneyland game with the $10 bonus card and free mickey plush. So thats a xbox with kinect, Disneyland Adventure game, and mickey plush for $289!!!!!!

Contemplating doing the same thing myself! Hadn't even heard of the game till I saw a commercial for it today. I am defenitely not a video game person, but throw Disney in the mix and that changes things :)

I may do the same thing...... Walmart has the Xbox, with Konnect, for $199 on Thanksgiving at 10 pm, PLUS you get a $50 gift card, which more or less covers the DL game.

However, I am not sure how the 10pm sales work, if they will be available online or not, and I would guess people line up at 5-6pm for the 10 pm deals, and I am not sure I can DO that. (BRR in NJ by then)

:rotfl2: I had never seen it either till tonight and both dd and I were bummed it was Xbox only.

I know- I saw the black friday deal, but have done the Walmart run for your life thing at opening. Freezing outside for hours didn't seem like fun, and I almost got an arm torn off last time. Dont get me wrong, I will be shopping- just the lower profile stores- LIKE DISNEY STORE!!! Still a little upset that it wasn't released for wii, could have put the $300 toward our trip- but just HAD to have this game. The perfect way to pass the time in between our annual trips.

You're not crazy at all, or if you are, then we both are! I started a thread much like this a few days ago for the very same reason. I wanted the kinect, mainly to play Disneyland Adventures. We could not for the life of us come up with a main gift for DD5 for Christmas and all of our faces lit up when we saw the commercial for Disneyland Adventures.

The walmart deal is wonderful, but like other posters I'd rather keep my limbs intact and maybe spend a few more dollars. I called walmart and asked about how they were running black friday this year. They did say, at least locally, they are staggering their sales, but the deal I want is right when they open so that's probably not going to benefit me. I was also told they do hand out tickets for the bigger items, and that this xbox deal would more than likely be one of those ticket items. So at least if you brave the line you would be promised one of these systems once the doors opened, so no mad trample needed to get to electronics. Still I decided to pass. The news every year seems to have the headline of "someone trampled to death at Walmart on black friday." :scared1: I didn't want that to be me, because I want to actually play this game!

What I finally decided on, after much thought and back and forth thinking. I bought the xbox 4gb for $199 at Target last night and got a $50 giftcard. Target on black friday has the kinect system for $99 and it comes with the adventures game (that they all do) gunslinger and fruit ninjas (usually around $30-$40), and also wipeout 2 ($50.) My mom said she'd buy the Disneyland Adventures game for DD for Christmas, so she'll be ordering that on Tuesday. Target also has on black friday Disney Universe for only $28. We have a coupon for $25 off if you buy the kinect and Just Dance 3 together (a $40 game.) The target in our area has a great plan for black friday. Items that are going to draw a crowd will be placed in 2-3 different locations around the store and manned by a few brave employees. They only let in 50 people, and then a few minutes later let in another 50 so there's no huge herd running in. Also they pass out maps for the store with sale items marked on it while you are waiting in line, so you know where you need to head as soon as you get into the store.

So to sum that mess above up...by Christmas morning after factoring in all giftcards and coupons and including the money my mom is spending on the one game our total out of pocket expenses will be around $305. For that we will have the xbox 4gb system, kinect and 7 games for that price. Not too shabby I think. :thumbsup2

Loololol! So thrilled I'm not the only one! I just set up my newest game system and voila! Ready for the game to release. $399 at best buy for the 250 hard drive. W kinect included and the kinect adventures game and carnival! There is a $75 gift card u get from them to help defray costs... 0% apr for 18 months if u are a reward zone member....

I'm debating if the super walmarts that are open 24 hours will sell it to me at midnight.... I'm on Eastern time so that's 20 min away.... Then again, I should take these 10 hours before best buy reopened to work ahead on my homework for my final semester....

JUST WANT TO LET EVERYONE BE AWARE THAT THE 4gb MEMORY HAS NO HARD DRIVE! Please read the box carefully. You may have to buy a hard drive later for downloaded content!

We don't have any gaming system except for an old Sega Genesis so my kids are dying for this DL game and the xbox 360 kinect. trying so hard to decide what is the cheapest and easiest way to get one.

If you're brave enough to go to walmart on black friday, they have the best deal. The xbox 360 4gb w/ kinect is $199 and you get a $50 giftcard. So the giftcard basically pays for the Disneyland game. Although as popular as this Disneyland game seems to be I'd worry if it will be available then? It should be. Game stop also had a pretty good deal of the system for $299 with a $100 credit going, not sure if it's still current or not? I would just keep my eye out for sales, amazon will probably run a pretty good deal on the xbox at some point, but it's not promised or known when.

I'm buying the Disneyland game today at Toysrus, they have a $10 giftcard and a little plush animal with purchase of the game this week.

My main concern is if the adults (myself included) in this house will be able to contain themselves and not "test drive" the xbox system we bought w/ the Disneyland game before Christmas morning? :rotfl2:

I sooo want this game and that means I would have to get the xbox. I am trying to figure out the best route. I like the one with buying it at target without the kinect and then on bf getting there kinect deal with the extra games.

I want to do this so bad too, but DH has said NO!:scared1: He knows I would be playing this instead of doing the housework and cooking :rotfl:

Seriously though, we just don't have the funds right now. Maybe we can wait around and when the next big thing comes out, and people want that instead of a Kinect, then we can pick up one for cheap, and get the game then.
I had to have Epic Mickey when it first came out and dropped $50 on it, now I see that they are going to be $15 on Black Friday. So I may have to wait a few years, but I will be getting one someday.:thumbsup2

You are not crazy, I did the same thing. Can't wait to get it out and start using it. The kids were starting to get bored with the Wii so this is going to be a fun change.

If you are crazy then so am I. I went to Best Buy today and bout the 250GB bundle for $399, it came with a $75 gift card so it made it $324.00 Which is $24 more than on black friday, but I don't have to deal with the crowds.

I then used the $75 gift card to buy Disneyland Adventures and Disney Universe. Buying the two together got me another $20 gift card.

I can't wait to see the kids faces on christmas morning!!

I'm one step closer! Went to Toysrus and picked up Disneyland Adventures this morning and got a cute little plush Minnie for the stocking and a $10 giftcard. :thumbsup2 Now just to snag the kinect on black friday at Target for $99 along with Disney Universe ($28) and Just Dance 3 (another $10 giftcard) and we'll be ready to go! The only problem, is how can we resist not "testing" out the system between black friday and Christmas one night while DD is sleeping? :rolleyes1

I told DS21 that I was going to do this and he was giving me a fit! :rotfl: He has the Xbox, but it's at his house at college not at my house. He's the game person in our house. He told me to go to Youtube and watch the videos.

Just FYI Amazon had the Disneyland game with a $10 credit on a future purchase. I ordered mine this afternoon and then I will hunt down the best deal on the Kinect as Dh got the Xbox last year.

Does Target have any sort of warranty? If not I will use Square trade...... DS may break the thing. ....

I too bought the Xbox just for the Disneyland adv game.
On the Con side, it does target the very young for a number of activaties but those pale in comparison to the real "Fun" workout you get in he games.
Had have the game for just about 2 months and am down over 20 pounds.
my diet has not changed and I feel great.
Don't get me wrong, I know just about any Kinect game will work you out and I have about 5 of those just for working out but they are too much work and boring.

In Disneyland adventures I can go for and hour and not notice even though I am covered in sweat.
It is not surprising they did not sell as much as other Kinect games, they did not really advertise it.
I saw it at Walmart on a store shelf the first time I knew about it.

A great game for any Disney fan and fun for the whole family.
