Bought t-shirt at Epcot, need help!

Just got back yesterday evening. My husband spent $29 on a Wimbledon tshirt at the UK. We have the receipt. BUT the girl forgot to take the ink, anti-theft device off and we did not notice it even had one. I am SO po'ed. So are we S-O-L or what? I don't even know who to call about this. It's not like we are going back for years, and we don't live in Florida. There was a 1-800 number on the receipt & I left a message, but it sounds like they are mail order. Anyway, any advice? As much as we spent, it really upsets me to have this t-shirt/money be wasted because of THEIR error. Thanks!

Do you have a Disney store by you? I heard on here from someone else that they may be able to help.

i think Disney merchandising and the mail order division are connected. I'd try again on monday during regular business hourss.....I'm sure they will figure out a way to help...

This happened to me once and I brought the item to another clothing store that had the "remover" to get the sec. tag. off. They did it and it worked great!
Take your receipt and shirt to a store, the gap, marshalls, wherever they have one of those remover machines and they'll do it 4 u

And if its only one of the tags without the ink in it, the long kind of skinny ones that only set the alarm off, you can take those off without doing any damage with a hammer and pliers. For some reason, one store I shop in always leaves those on, so I've just gotten used to removing them myself.
Of course, if it does have the ink, that is a terrible idea and I'm sure any store would take it off for you.

Ditto, ditto on previous replies that any store that removes the security tags can remove them. My sister bought me a pair of overalls at the Disney Store in Chicago for my birthday a few years back only to discover that they, too, left the security thing on. So when she arrived in NC she immediately went to a Disney Store here only to find that they don't use the security tags! They recommended going to the Gap (which she did). It was removed.

I, too, have removed the non-ink kind with pliers. Good luck. You should be able to find some store that will remove it.

The same thing happen to us as well. I just took the shirt and the receipt to any store in our mall and they remove the tag. The disney store I work at cannot remove them cause the tag is different then the ones they use in the parks.
