Bought sold out resort!

We're in! Just bought 150 points from Disney for VWL. Process was incredibly smooth!
My husband called yesterday (we were afraid of price increases on sold out resorts), and the guide we got assigned to (Greg Coots? I think) was really easy going on him. Said what he had to "I have to say this... there's this other resort called SSR..." etc, but then let us go right through to get VWL.

Apparently we got the last bunch of points for Oct use year, and our paperwork went through late last night.

Can't wait to sign the Mickeys and date the palm trees.

And sorry to all you anti-buy where you stay people, but my husband called to get us a reservation for Dec2-Dec9 in a studio, and we're waitlisted at the 10 month mark (we figured we might be). Glad we bought where we wanted to stay

Welcome Home! I hope its that easy for us when we want to add on more VWL points in the future.

Buy where you want to stay is absolutely necessary at VWL, imo. Though we did get lucky and were able to use some BWV points there in December once, I wasn't counting on it! We had a bit of a hard time even getting OKW that time of year on less than 6 months notice.

Enjoy the VWL! We love our second home!

Congratulations and welcome home! We stayed there last week and enjoyed our stay so much we are considering buying a small add-on there. Unfortunately I also need Oct use year points!

We closed on our contract & WL'd in June last year for Studio @ VWL Dec. 10th to 15th. Came thru mid Oct. Good Luck.!
