Bought myself CROCS today!!!

Thanks to the influence of the DisBoards, today I did it!
I bought a pair of CROCS!!

I love them! So comfy!

I got the Sea Blue Beach style ones.

Got them at Sport Chek for $34.99 CAD.

My friends laughed at them and said they were ugly!! Can you believe that!!?
My other friend said her HoleySoles were better because they are the original ones. Is that true? I thought Crocs were the very best ones out there??!!

Breaking them in for WDW in 4 monthes!

I've been seriously thinking about it. I teach and I'm on my feet all day. The only thing stopping me is that it's capri/crop season, and I'm not sure about crocs without long pants???

Both Crocs and Holey shoes were orginally made in the same Canadian Factory. Crocs became hugely popular in the States and they moved production to China, some Crocs styles still say made in Canada (my beach sea blue are made in Canada.) Holey shoes did not have ankle straps when I looked at them and they don't come in as many styles or colours.

Crocs began in 2002 and were first sold at a Fort Launderdale boat show. Holey shoes have had a website since 2004 and I could not find and information otherwise about a start date. But both seem to have come from a shoe called Waldies, introduced by Walden Kayaking in 2001.

Crocs seems to be the company who has done the most with the style and marketing side of these shoes.

Crocs never claimed to be attractive!!!!

That is what makes them cool and unique--their ugliness!!!

Crocs and Holey Soles are both Canadian, eh!!!
