Bought my DH the Ipad. GREAT deal!

Yes, this is the first gen Ipad. ATT has a 64 gb + 3G for $529! You have to get the $25/month data plan when you purchase, BUT they are offering a free month! Not too shabby.

So, I ran out and snagged the last one at our ATT store. It really is very cool.

What are your fave apps? Anything we should get for sure? Games, useful apps, etc?

p.s. we already have IPhones and LOTS of apps on those, so we are pretty familiar with them. just wondering if there was something not to be missed on the Ipad. THanks!

I almost bought that yesterday thru AT&T but then realized it was the older model - I really want the iPad 2. But that was a great deal - $300 off the original price.

Scrabble for iPad is neat. Your individual iPhones are your own letter racks and the iPad is the board. I think the game was 9.99 and the apps for the phones were free.

I didn't get the data plan since I use mine mostly home. I have heard people will be waiting a long time on the ipad2 with production issues from Japan. So if you don't have it now it'll be a while.

LOVE MY IPAD! I will never go back to a laptop again.

Some of my favorite apps are....

Netflix
Azul Media Player...you can download tv shows and movies to view later. Great if you do not have a wifi version since you can watch them without internet connection.

Forgot to mention APPSTART.
Great app for new ipad owners because it basically tells you what the ipad can do and suggests what apps you can get for like entertainment, work, networking, etc. It is also free.
